How bout this trade...
Just a thought. We are going to be in Cap hell this year obviously so...how bout giving Stephan Heyer the job at RT and trade away Jon Jansen who is always getting injured to relieve some cap. A possible trade would consist of the Redskins trading him to the Bears for WR Benard Berrian and DE Mark Anderson. The trade would fullfill two needs of ours..a tall speedy receiver and a good pass rushing DE. It would also suit the Bears seeing as they need help on the OL. It would then give us some cap room relief. What do you guys think? just a thought

Re: How bout this trade...
how much cap room would trading jansen give us? from reading others posts about the rumor of releasing jansen it seems like it might not help much, i dont know the cap at all though. also i doubt jansen has much if any trade value coming off 2 major injuries in 3 years

I dont know if he is that good, sure he hasn't had a good q-back ever, but i have been yet to see him prove himself.

Re: How bout this trade...
Well first of all we are not anywhere near cap hell.
http://www.redskinswarpath.com/locke...ghlight=salary Second of all trading someone away does not give cap relief. Their bonuses still accelerated onto the current team's salary cap making more of a salary cap headache. Third, as has been said, Berrian is a FA. |

Sick'em, FRPLG! (doesn't quite roll of the tongue very well, does it?)
Come on folks, do a little research before posting this kind of stuff. At least try to be a little knowledgeable.

Re: How bout this trade...
Sorry did not realize Berrian was a Free Agent. I'm not writing a column by merely a thread so therefor I didn't conduct much research on the topic. thank you

berrian is not good at all. he is 6'1 and speedy but has no where near the talent level moss and randle el have.

I'm sick of hearing we are in cap trouble, when we're not. I think we should draft a big ass WR. To bad we couldn't see Mix in action at some point this season before we draft one though

Re: How bout this trade...
You have no idea what you're talking about, Joe. I know for a fact that Arizona would gladly trade us Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin for Jon Jansen. Heck, they would probably even throw in Levi Brown if we pushed them. And they'd be happy to do it!

Oh, I see - you heard it on the radio from Jay Glazer who heard it from Jimmy Johnson who heard it from Bram's farts.

Re: How bout this trade...
Right but you could have searched and read some other threads and they would have helped in preventing this thread. It's ok we all do it though.

Re: How bout this trade...
Ignore the fact that Berrian is a free agent and Jansens cap answer. Why would they trade Berrian, and a solid DE for an older injury riddled Olineman?
