I dont mind the changes

I think i jumped on the bandwagon while everyone else was pissed off and called for Snyders head. However the more I think about it the more I think about how miserable even the last few years have been. We have not exactly been a powerhouse team. We limped our way into the playoffs both times while Gibbs 2.0 was here and I will say it now I wanted him gone from the start, in fact I never wanted him to come back after leaving the team for NASCAR. I have been watching the same boring, and I mean boring Redskins team for long enough.

I'm just going to make a prediction as to how the Redskins would have looked next year with GW at the helm. 7-9, confusion, a decent defense but yet another struggling offense. Sure the players would have been happy, some fans would have been pleased. But Danny doesnt care, we know this, the complaining, Sally "biatch" Jenkins slamming him in the post, players speaking out, none of this matters to him. We are stuck with this owner for some time to come, so we might as well sit back and have a good laugh at how insane our team looks to the rest of the NFL. Im intersted to see what happens next week.

Gibbs did a lot of good for this team. How many seasons before him would we have given our right arm to even sniff the playoffs, let alone "limp" into the playoffs?

I'm reserving my ultimate judgement until the coaching staff is in place. I will say that if we pull off this Maricucci deal I'll be very pleased.

Why would you be pleased with Mariucci? He's not that good at all. Had everything in place with Rice and Young then they got old he started losing and in Detroit say what you may he sucks balls!

Rather a guy like Meeks who came from a Championship system or peeps from the superbowl like Gmen Deffensive guru he's a good one!!!

We have a great new Offensive mind and be won't miss a beat with DC. He ran the show for Bears and he's a tough ass coach. I'm not riding the Mariucci band wagon don't think he's a skin.

I think Mariucci would be a good fit as the CEO of the staff, plus his background in the WC would be beneficial to help mentor Zorn and let him focus on developing JC. He's got the star power and would be a credible replacement for Gibbs that the players would respect. And most of all he's not Jim Fassel.

Zorn does not need help. If you looked at Seattle's offense they're dynamic and he's a proven Qb teacher. Don't get too caught up on "West Coast". Zorn runs a form of that not the dink and dunk crap version. He's a far more aggressive verticle down the filed attacker. With Blanche we have two very aggressive coaches in place. Both are very good coaches. Now you bring in pretty boy NFL Network Steve Mariucci? I'm not buying it. Think we're going to announce Meeks before him. A hungry Dungy prototype who's defensive minded so its totally Zorn's show. Think we go places quickly with that team of coaches and our players in place.

Emphasis....And most of all he's not Jim Fassel

Hiring Mariucci would keep the mob off of snyder's ass as well

I think Fassel and Mariucci are pretty interchangeable actually. Both are very solid coaches who know how to lead a locker room and at the same time delegate. Neither one is going to reinvent the wheel, but they don't need to.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.

Hold on a second. This makes me think that it SEEMS like Snyder knows what he is doing...

Gadzooks, you mean someone is talking sense around here?

I agree that Fassel and Mooch are interchangeable. The important factors here are the OC and the DC. So, Zorn will implement a new offensive scheme, while Blache will keep the status quo on the defensive side. So whomever the HC is, it'll be up to him to compliment both of these guys while running the roost.

Mooch makes more sense than Fassel because of his exposure to the WCO. And the argument about him sucking in Detroit...I'm not convinced that any Lions head coach is going to have any kind of success with Matt Millen as Team President.

He doesn't need help? He's going to be a first time coordinator... it might not be a bad thing to have a HC in place that's familiar with the offense he's going to be installing.

Good point.

When you break down what Gibbs' role was here, he was basically the CEO of the coaching staff. Sure he had his input but both sides of the ball basically took care of themselves. We don't need a hands on dictator at HC, we just need someone to oversee the operation and be the face of the staff. I agree that Fassel and Mooch are fairly interchangeable, that said I would still prefer Mariucci.

It looks like Snyder is looking for a HC that is not an an ass kicker. And that is why Mooch lost his job in Det. Guys we were not being held accountable.
