Your 2008 Redskins Hall of Fame Class (pics)

Sorry about the bright pics (especially on the Green)...my flash was too too strong.

He owed me a personal favor and also wanted to try doing it once just to see if he could do it...he did a bang out job! But it's a one off deal though.

Admittedly, it would be very hard (but not impossible) to have properly SCREENED numbers and lettering on the nameplate, but there are Monk authentics out there. This is the 1991 (after the 1991’s were kind of a disaster on number spacing, lettering, etc., the subsequent years were a little more tight, but always screened):

^

To be authentic it has to be screened, not sewn-on numbers. That's what the Skins wore when Monk played.

There is a problem with getting things screen printed. That is economies of scale. You need to get hundreds or thousands of items screen printed with the same thing to make it cost effective. Vinyl is the next best thing if you can't get screen printed. Also, remember, the famed Athletic Supply company did all of their customs with vinyl in stead of screen printing as it was the most cost effective way to customize jerseys that didn't use the tackle twill specification. What I may do to the vinyl is use a very mild abrasive to kind of make them less shiny and more like as if they were screen printed.
