Redskins Dreams

I had a funny Redskins dream the other night and thought it might be fun to see if others on the board dream about the burgundy and gold as well or should I seek professional help.

Anyways, here's what happened in the dream. It's the Thursday night season opener against the Giants, and I'm watching with a group of friends. The D shuts the G-men down, and I'm talking trash about not needing Williams.

Then, we're on offense, and I'm pumped to finally see the Zorn WCO in action. Portis gets two carries up the middle for 3 yards each, and I'm thinking, "Not much different from Gibbs 2.0." So, it's 3rd and short, and I'm standing with anticipation to see what Zorn does. He lines up ARE and Malcom Kelly on the short side of the field by Cooley, and Santana Moss is split wide on the larger side. Cooley drifts left to create a 3 receiver set on the short side, and the Giants' D is freaking out, trying to adjust, and I'm thinking, "Yes! The Zorn era has begun." The ball's hiked. The Giants scramble to try to cover the crossing ARE & Cooley pattern on the short side as well the streaking Santana Moss. Malcom Kelly is left wide open streaking down the middle of the field. He plucks the ball out of the air in stride, and then, this is where the dream gets weird. The ball starts to inflate like a beach ball or one of those huge balls Jason Cambell has been trying to elude to improve his footwork. So, as the ball inflates, Kelly bobbles it down his body and eventually kicks it off the back of his legs. Then, I wake up.

Kind of a peculiar dream and sad that I'm so ready for football. But I'm ready for the Zorn era to begin. Any of you guys have any fun Redskins dreams?

Re: Redskins Dreams

Actually dude I had a really weird one the other day. Nice thread lol.

I had this dream, that I was the Redskins coach. I'm standing on the sidelines in a game against the Cowboys, and there's like 23 seconds left in the game and we are down by 2, 22-20. We are on the 50 yard line as well. I wasn't calling the plays because it was no huddle and we had 1 timeout left. So JC lines them up in I formation and hits Cooley downfield at the 30 yard line, courtesy of Roy Williams and then I call a timeout with 10 seconds left. Suisham goes in and, right as he kicks the ball, I fall to the ground and start flipping out and then I woke up. It was definitely odd, like in the dream the stadium (It definitely wasn't reminiscent of Fedex) you could only see the field and the sidelines and then the stands were shrouded by black clouds.

Re: Redskins Dreams

I'm a sleep walker/talker. Always have been. My wife said a few months ago that I was pacing the bedroom with my arms in the air yelling "30...20...10...TD!!!". I assume I was celebrating a good run by Portis, though I can never remember any of the dreams I have when I talk/walk.

Re: Redskins Dreams

Whenever I have a dream involving the Redskins it's always the same. I somehow forget that the game is on and I start to panic, and I turn on the TV and the game is over and I can't believe that I missed the game. I figure it's got something to do with stress or anxiety.

Re: Redskins Dreams

I have this dream where the qb gets hurt and somehow I get talked into playing quarterback - and I suck. They tear me apart, I throw a bunch of interceptions, and everyone hates me.

I seriously have this dream at least once a month.

Re: Redskins Dreams

I had a really funny one back in like 1999. I dreamt I was watching a Skins game on TV, and suddenly Stephen Davis was running through tacklers just like Christian Okoye could in Tecmo Super Bowl. Dudes would go to tackle him and they'd bounce off and go rolling 15 yards away. Then Stephen Davis turned around and started just running into all tacklers in sight, just for kicks. Then he ran in for a score.

I woke up laughing.
