O-Gun Traded! Rumor from friend in Miami
O-Gun traded to the Bears for Marty Booker and a 3rd round pick... Why the hell didn't they get Anthony Thomas? Let's see if there's any truth to it!

Fox Sport's Jay Glazer reports the Miami Dolphins and Bears have agreed to trade involving a pair of Pro Bowl players. The Dolphins have agreed to a trade of holdout DE Adewale Ogunleye for Bears WR Marty Booker and a third-round pick in 2005. The deal, however, is dependent upon the Bears reaching a contract agreement with Ogunleye by 7 p.m. ET Saturday. If no deal is reached then the trade would not be complete.

I just heard the same thing on Fox Sports Radio, Ogunleye has to agree to contract terms by 7pm or something for the trade to be consumeted.. Wow, Chicago must be really high on someone in camp for them to trade Booker.. Ah well, I was hoping that we would offer Gardner and a conditional 2006 2nd round pick for Ogunleye..

well the bears have justin gage and david terrell, who has been an underachiever, plus a good recieving tight end in Desmond Clark. The Bears will be fine without marty.

yay! now all the trade for AO threads can rest in peace... we might need gardner cause coles's funky toe isn't really healing. Gardner has done 1000 yards, TJ likes being hurt... mccants and thrash are NOT a good starting set right now

as of right now I think the bears got the better end of that deal, lovie is gonna have fun with him. the dolphins on the other hand are still fish out of water. I'm surprised they didn't want high draft picks, considering this year is a wash with or with out booker.

I think I've heard the "fish out of water" pun with respect to the Dolphins about 967,334 times already...

no doubt the bears got the better end... they gave up a guy that can be a real #1 receiver though, which is what the dolphins need... surprised they didnt go for an RB, may have been able to get a decent one with AO...

i don't doubt chambers either... i figure they'd want a bigger RB though before another WR though, but i'm sure they're doing whatever they think is best for them. Its going to take some serious playing before I think feely is decent... (at least he's better than what the raven's got, but baltimore has NO WR talent besides heap)

Travis Taylor could be a quality receiver. No need for WRs when you have heap!
Chicago has two very good Running Backs. I'm suprised they didn't go after the A train! |

I'm also surprised they didn't get Thomas, perhaps they tried and the Bears wouldn't budge? Or perhaps the Dolphins are confident with the RB group they already have?
For fantasy football I have my fingers crossed that Minor can be a decent back. |
