Zorn's dodge-pad drill

lol check it out

UnCut Video - Now Playing "Dodging pads."

What I find interesting is the tempo. Zorn really has them hustling around. I guess this drill is to simulate pressure on the QB.

Excuse me? You referring to Thomas' hamstring? From the video I watched, I didn't see any receivers or lineman in it. Personally, I think its a great drill.

Are you referring to the tempo causing injuries? If so, I would suggest that last year demonstrates that injuries can occur at any tempo.

Dear lord! Can we give the man a chance before we turn on him.

No I was reffering to JT's leg injury on MNF from LT. Sorry for the confusion.

Ha, that's a great drill.

Notice it was Colt Brennan taking the snaps...maybe this is some kind of test for him.

Zorn's a genius. It's going to be a fun year.

Re: Zorn's dodge-pad drill

Ah, this is that "quirky" drill Zorn promised that simulates the impact of being sacked. Sorta. I like it, maybe it'll help Campbell be more strong with the ball when he gets hit. Great tempo though, they are hustling.

Okay, you just plain lost me. If this is true, then please use the "non-sequitor" font next time . If it is an attempt at sarcasm, please don't confuse an attempt at "dry wit" with just being witless.

Re: Zorn's dodge-pad drill

Great drill. While simulating the traffic that occurs at the LOS, makes the QB focus on ball security and keep his eyes downfield.

This is one of the main reasons I am optimistic about J. Campbell's development, he now has one of the best QB coaches in the business vs. a rookie QB coach with no major NCAA DI or NFL experience that I am aware of.

Re: Zorn's dodge-pad drill

I like what Zorn is doing. They're learning and having fun at the same time.

Can't blame injuries on Zorn's tempo. If practice tempo is too hard on them then what's going to happen in a game?

Re: Zorn's dodge-pad drill

What's next? Dodging wrenches? Dodging traffic? Dodging thrown midgets?

Eh, who am I kidding? It's a cool drill that lets you have a bit of fun.

If you listen closely to yesterday's Training Camp Daily on Comcast you can hear Joe Bugel in the background yelling, "If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge DeMarcus Ware!"
