Portis and the dirtbags
I am really starting to dig Mr. Portis. Check this out, from the Times:
" Note — Portis presented the Redskins' offensive linemen with "Official Dirtbags" T-shirts that feature a lineman knee-deep in muck with flies buzzing around and the slogan, "They're stinkin' huge." The shirt also features a replica Portis signature. Despite the "official" moniker, the shirts apparently will give way at some point to a version by assistant head coach for offense Joe Bugel, who named the original Hogs in the 1980s. "It's cool," said tackle Kenyatta Jones, who was sporting the Portis version. "I know Buges has a design that he wants to do, too. This is just the one we wear around here. This is just the appetizer." " How cool is that? I really want to see what the T looks like!

It seems to me the this years group of guys is really starting to act like a "team," rather than individual players....very different than the last few years.

Hail to the Redskins.
I remember I had a tshirt that had the hogs sloshing around in pasadena! Can't wait for the regular season and seeing Gibbs in real life on the sideline again! GO SKINS!

I love RBs that support their line. Portis is as cocky as the day is long, but I'm glad he recognizes what his line does for him. The more they like you the bigger the holes get. THis could be a great situation for us!

Speaking of t-shirts, anyone know where I can find in the DC area that shirt that says "Portis 8 more years"?

are they keeping the name dirtbags? Initially I thought they were given that name to hvae until they plyaed a unit and did well together. Like, they wernt good enough to be hogs yet so it was a nickname for the time being. Did anyone else get that impression?
