Chief Zee's Missing Tomahawk

The Official Blog of Chris Cooley: Theft of a Tomahawk

What a shame...hope the culprit comes forward and gives it back...

We can only hope they're dumb enough to post it on ebay. It's probably sitting in some smug kid's room as his personal trophy....like when rich people steal priceless art.

That's where Cooley got the basis of the blog entry from...but I didn't want to directly link to the Post because I was afraid they'd go AP on Matty...

Chris Cooley's Newest Role with the Washington Redskins? Hostage Negotiator | Bleacher Report

Looks like it did not end up on eBay...
Quote:
It didn't take long for lifelong Redsksins' fan Christy Cooley (Chris Cooley's wife and former Redskins cheerleader, formerly Christy Oglevee) saw the piece and immediately took action.

According to Tanner Cooley (Chris Cooley's brother, who was kind enough to give me the run down on this whole thing via email), Christy let Chris know about the missing tomahawk and wanted him to try to get it back.

Chris told Tanner to put up a post on his blog, Theft of a Tomahawk, stating that Chris was offering a jersey to anyone with information leading to the return of the tomahawk.

From Tanner's email:

"Well, less than six hours later, I got an email from the kid's friend, confessing his guilt and asked if I would meet him to accept the return of the tomahawk. I did and sure enough, it was the real deal. We gave the kids his jersey, and I called the Chief to tell him the good news."

And a successful hostage negotiation is completed. The tomahawk will be returned to Chief Zee before tonight's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Cooleys intend to record the event.

So, yes, Chris Cooley: Hostage Negotiator.

The kid should have coughed it up and asked for nothing in return.

It's nice to see professional sports stars use their popularity to help out a nice guy like Chief Zee. Props to CC and his wife/bro for making it happen.

Re: Chief Zee's Missing Tomahawk

How cool is that man? The Cooley's ought to go into business teaching othe athletes how to do a good website. Is there any athlete in any sport who does this good of a job with their site? They put out an APB for a freaking rubber tomahawk and got it back in 6 hours. That is actually quite amazing if you think about it.
