let's not forget

There are many a bold prediction from cowboys fans on the thread about who will win and why. I certainly hope we can pull this off and i do not think that the cowboys are as good as there record indicates, but with all of that being said let us not forget, my faithful brothers and sisters, the following facts:

1) The year was 1996, Bill Clinton was our president, gas was $1.20 a gallon and oh yea, that is the last time the Cowboys won a playoff game.

2) the last time we faced the cowboys (the last game last year) they played all their starters the bulk of the game and we held them to one yard rushing in 16 attempts. that is 2.25 inches per attempt and yes it is an nfl record. Marion Barber? 6 carries for -6 yards

To sum it all up let me quote my son last year as he was just becoming football aware "The Cowboys are like satan of the NFL"

Let the faithful say AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hail

Re: let's not forget

The mods ain't gonna like you for starting a new thread for what should have been posted on the predictions thread.

1) What has that got to do with this weeks game?

2) No, it isn't an NFL record.

Re: let's not forget

my bad, I can imagine they will lock it down or move it or what ever. I would guess it has as much to do with this weeks game as much of what has been posted on game related threads IMHO of course

just one of many but consider the following:

It's this kind of ignorant, unbridled arrogance that has been a paradigm for the cowboys and all of thier fans. Cockiness breeds complacency- just ask the Patriots...wait...just ask yourselves.

What does that have to do with this week's game?

The cowboys REMEMBER that ass woopin last game of the season.I am sure the coaches are using it as motivation to pay us back for that game last year. they lacked intensity and motivation that will not be the case this weekend. We have to play our best game of the year. The cowboys can be beat and it starts on sunday.

Re: let's not forget

last years final T.O. didnt play. and if there is anything we can give thanks to coach Gibbs for, its bringing back the rivalry. before his return, we had a helluva time beating the cowboys. since, we have been pretty even. and even last year in Dallas, after all the hoopla over Owens 4 T.D's, if Campbell doesn't throw that pick, the skins win that game

Good stuff DFI. These are things the cowgirls would love to forget, and I love to remember. It helps put things in perspective, which they don't like. The cowgirls are nowhere near unbeatable even though they like to think so. It makes it that much sweeter when we kick their ass. AMEN!

Romo only played a quarter? That's not the way I remember it . You might want to check that. I believe he left in the 3rd quarter when the game was pretty much over.

This was my response to cowboys fans that gauranteed the win. It was taken a little out of context, and has a lot to do with our rivalry and hence that organizations point of view. As I pointed out in another post, the majority of skins fans on this site, in all honesty predicted we would lose. All I was saying is that people, in this case the dallas cowboys, are seemingly satisfied with themselves and that usually leads to a teams ultimate downfall. i.e. the patriots who waltzed into the big show thinking they were gonna handle business as usual.

We let D'Boyz start his stupid thread, we might as well let a Redskins fan start one as well.

Yeah he played into the 3rd quarter, I think most of their starters did.

They got steamrolled in that game.

Re: let's not forget

Doesn't matter, different type of team philosophies, etc. I agree, this should have been on the predictions thread, but since I am on here what the hey!!! Romo will play all 4 quarters, TO will be in the house, Gibbs won't be in the house and the Dallas D is probably going to be blitzing often. On top of that our running game is substandard still, and I think that is going to be the difference. Our run defense was awful against Arizona. We let James look like he was back in Indy. It will be a good game, but Dallas has a defensive edge and also an edge with the runnning game itself.

Re: let's not forget

lots of good thoughts on here, I got say on paper the cowboys have the edge but I think the line at 11.5 is crazy. If I was a betting man (and I am not) I would mortgage the house (if I owned one) and bet they don't cover that huge spread. It is Dallas and everything goes out the window. Thinking back to two or three years ago when to the monday night at dallas when everyone gets out played and we are down 13-0 in the forth and brunell thows two quick ones an we win 14-13
