Re: The Official Presidential Debate Thread (Round 2)
My honest opinion.. McCain is doing better than Obama. And I'm a Obama supporter.
Maybe it's just this townhall style thing. I can't stand it. I'd rather it just be a regular debate with a moderator.

I think the pendulum has swung in Obama's favor these last few questions.
McCain has a lot of heroes though...Reagan, Roosevelt, Riggins

Our Riggins? If so, then there is something likable about the old man after all.

Re: The Official Presidential Debate Thread (Round 2)
Apparently that whole, "That one" comment did not make a bunch of people happy. People are starting to think that McCain is coming off as condescending and patronizing.
They also showed some reaction polls showing that Republicans did not like McCain's whole idea of buying all the bad loans. I Haven't seen a curve that bad that wasn't on a baseball field.

Re: The Official Presidential Debate Thread (Round 2)
McCain was talking about an energy bill I believe, he was making his point and then goes, "You know who didn't vote for the bill?", swivels and points his finger at Obama and goes, "That one. I voted for it."
I mean it was just distasteful. He could've just said, "Obama didn't vote for it." The guy HAS a name. I mean it was just one of those moments where you slap your palm against your face and go, why? It felt awkward and a bit degrading to be referred to as "That one" like you're some thing. As minor as some people may consider it, it felt like McCain sort of shot himself in the foot.

But I think McCain was staring at the floor most of the time and rifling through his pockets and Obama was busy mourning the Cubbies getting sweeped.

Re: The Official Presidential Debate Thread (Round 2)
A discussion on the economy is not a good thing for McCain. As for his "that one" comment you guys make it sound like he said "that boy." It's not a big deal though it's not presidential. McCain is the usual McCain full of erroneous figures and talking about the usual (energy Independence, Obama raising taxes, and his famous "I know how to [insert some generic word of your choosing]"). Seems like Obama is holding nothing back and meeting McCain with fangs protruding.
