I read about it. I'm pissed that it's not out on PS3 because it looks pretty good.
Do you mainly have to play it with other people or is it okay to play alone?

If you play alone you'll be accompanied by 3 computer players but it's a hell of a lot more fun if you play with friends. I played with couple of friends and 1 bot last night. Pretty damn fun.

I'm thinking about playing it through Steam. A couple of co-workers are starting to play and they seem to really like it.

It's definitely fun. I'm thumb handicapped so I might also pickup the PC version.

I almost became thumb handicapped myself back in 8th grade art class. I was cutting mat board for a frame and the exacto-knife slipped and went right into the lower joint of my left thumb. The doctor said that if it had gone about 1/3" deeper I'd have lost the use of that thumb.
Nothing to do with zombies, but it was still good times.

All my thumbs are intact and in perfect working order. I am thumb handicapped in the sense that I lack the skills necessary to walk and aim accurately at mine enemies using the controller's thumbsticks. I'm well trained in the art of mouse and keyboard fragging.

I downloaded the demo last weekend and I was pretty impressed by the depth of the game. The monsters are more various then I thought (originally I thought big guy and foot solider). I personally am a huge fan of anything that resembles zombies (28 days/weeks later, Early Resident Evil, .REC, Dawn of the Dead remake) so this game definately peeked my interest, especially with Resident Evil making the switch to a weird combination of to much ammo and unarmed albinos.

It's not as scary as I would have wanted it to be but it but it has it's moments especially when you turn the flashlight off and just stand there waiting to be attacked. The depth also impressed me with the director as well as small things like the car alarm. To bad the economy sucks otherwise I would buy this asap. In the meantime I'm stilll waiting for an opportunity to try out Dead Space.
