Plackemeier waived

Then there was one, Atterberry is the guy of the day. Who's the next kicker to be brought in....?

Wow! I thought he'd make it since he was doing well at the end of the season. This guy Atterberry must be better or they'd kept Plack.

I thought Zorn liked him. He was never critical of the punting game. Lets see if he changes his mind about ARE returning punts next year.

I'm a little surprised by this. Maybe Shane Lechler is being targeted?

I was about to post the same thing. It would be nice to see an overhaul of the entire special teams positions, P, K, PR, KR. I know I am going to piss off the Rock lovers (again) but we severely need explosiveness in that role. Rock is many things, but explosive ain't one of them!

I'm not dead but this team is dead to me...but now that McCloughan is here they may have new life!

Jay Gruden = Zorny McSpurrier
Kirk Cousins = Next Grossman

Re: Plackemeier waived

Shane Lechler would be my #1 free agency target...enough with these kicking problems already!

Re: Plackemeier waived

With a punter ranked at 31st in the league, with 20 or more last season this should be of no surprise. This guy is bottom barrel. No surprise here. He had one decent game as a Skin against philly, other than that he sucked. See Ya!

Redskins Release Plackemeier

I'm surprised Suisham didn't get the boot (no pun intended) before Plackemeier.

Re: Plackemeier waived

What surprises me is that Zorn was complimentary to Plack at the end of the year. I just read an article stating the same thing and that they were in Seattle together during the 06-07 season. It speculates he may be resigned later. I would sign Lechler and be done with it.
