Re: State of the Redskins - NFL Network Videos

huh, interesting. Seems like they say that what hurt us was lack of offensive plays from qb, and wide recivers, now why im not saying thats set by no means, but a lot of that has to do with our oline. It broke down through the year cuz of age. That why i hope the skins go online, preferbly RT with 13, soooo untill we can improve an aging line and give campbell the fair shake at things before he gets all the blame yet. lol yeah i know this is the evergoing disscusion on here, but hey it the truth!!!!....i hope...i really want campbell to succed

pshhh, basically they all agreed Skins finish last in the division again. I wouldn't expect any different. The funny thing is even if we come out w/ the best d in football and really gel on offense, winning the division or even just getting into the playoffs on a wildcard... none of these yahoos will say they were wrong.

Those guys are complete idiots. They think they know the NFL but they can't even diagnose the Redskins offensive problems correctly. That's why no one should ever listen to them. All of us know the Redskins better than they do because we watch all of their games and they just look at results.

Those guys are idiots. They think they know everything about the NFL, but they don't. They can't even diagnose the Redskins offensive troubles correctly. That means they don't even watch the games, they just look at the results, unlike us who watch every game.

The dreaded double post huh?

I agree that they may not understand them teams defiencies as well as we do, but in their defense they have to break down 32 teams. Many times they will only be able to scratch the surface of the problem rather than going into depth. What they said was not way off, they just didn't disect the problem to its root. Our biggest problem was not being able to score points, which they did state; they just didn't dive far enough to explain why. I personally do not believe that they are out to slam us.

Re: State of the Redskins - NFL Network Videos

Again redskins fans know why we struggled down the stretch.... OFFENSE!! wow 12ppg during the last 8 games!! Two reasons QB and Offensive Play calls (Zorn) But it all falls on Campbell, we had a great Rushing attack for most of the season and again we don't get big plays or passing td's. Guys I hate to say it but JC just isn't the right fit for our scheme. If we have a chance to pull the trigger on the Cutler deal we have to do so!!! I wouldn't trade Campbell just for some avg Joe, but Cutler fits our scheme and has a HUGE arm! If we don't trade for Cutler we will again be avg. on offense.

We're not trading for Cutler, let it go.

Of course it's not all on Campbell but his improvement is key to our success.

To me this is classic lazy journalism. Formula for any Redskins discussion:
1. Redskins free agency spending, will it translate to wins? We've seen this before (although not really). I still don't get why other NFL people care how Snyder spends his money.
2. Is the head coach in trouble?
3. The offense needs to score more. Really? That's the best analysis they could come up with?

For 'experts' it always amazes me how they can't make the correlation that better play from the DL can lead to more turnovers which can lead to more points.

Next week Moss is going to do an interview to teach us how to correctly drop an easy 3rd down conversion.

Cool Re: State of the Redskins - NFL Network Videos

State of the Redskins, huh ... let's see, it's March 21st ... the off-season workouts have begun ... the 'Skins have 4 picks in the upcoming draft ... and minimal Cap Room to work with ... and we are still somehow the media favorites to land Jay Cutler ... boy, some reputations die hard, if at all.

Let's see ...

1) The interior of the D-Line has been seriously upgraded ...
2) The Linebacker corp is suspect ...
3) The Secondary could be one of the better ones around ... and one of the youngest
4) The Wide Receivers are still a giant ?
5) The Running game is still solid ...
6) The O-Line is still old ...
7) The QB is beginning his 2nd season in a new Offensive scheme ... again!!
8) The FO still amazes us with what they are able to do ... and not do ... every offseason ...

Yep, sounds about right ...

OK, now for a few somewhat serious observations / pronostications:

1) Get over the idea of Jay Cutler coming here ... it ain't happenin' ... we don't have the Cap flexibility to do it ... we're going with what we have.
2) My guess is, unless we trade down and pick up more picks, our draft will look something like:

1st - SOLB - it's where we need a starting-caliber young player the most ...
2nd - to Miami Dolphins (Jason Taylor)
3rd - LDE - it's where we need a starting-caliber young player the second most ...
4th - to New York Jets (Pete Kendall)
5th - OT - 'Skins will take a solid, but unspectacular, lineman here and groom him for a season ...
6th - Best O-Lineman still available ...
7th - to Minnesota Vikings (Erasmus James)
Comp pick - Best Player Available for DL, LB or OL

If anything, I just have this feeling that the moves we've been making are geared towards an uncapped year in '10 ... just a hunch ... then again, maybe flatulence ...

HTTR !!
