NFL Game Center: Game Recap - Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys - 2008 4

Game ball
Quarterback Jason Campbell led the Redskins on four consecutive scoring drives that spanned the second and third quarters as Washington took control of the game. Campbell finished with two touchdown passes and is the only quarterback (with at least 50 attempts) without an interception this season.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This game was a reminder of how producitve our offense can be.

It also made me wonder how some fans can feels such negativity towards Jason Campbell?

Campbell was 20-of-31 for 231 yards with 2 TDs

HTTR!

Yeah he looked like a Franchise QB then, unfortunately there was a flip flop on that look in the 2nd half of the season

It shows he has potential, but like EKnox said, he was terrible down the stretch! Jason is a good player but I doubt he will be a redskin in 2010 unless he has a GREAT season and we make a playoff run (It doesn't help that he has no TRUE #1 WR)

Yeah but was it Jasons fault or was it the fact that he was running for his life most of the time? You see what this game shows is that if you can protect him than Jason can make things happen. Not to mention he's quite good even with the occasional pressure at either evading the rusher and passing or running.

Well said. The day that Jason Campbell has the game that Delhomme had in the playoffs, then you can say that he lost the game.

"terrible?"
To me that means making bad decisions & having no awareness in the pocket. Even when he had no protection & nobody open, JC didn't hurt the team. And he started running when all else failed & made some big plays w/his feet.

Re: Redskins@Cowboys NFL Network

I guess my problem is with people who think the JC who played lights out for 8 games all of a sudden lost his mind and forgot how to play.

Do you guys who want to blame JC think it was that he digressed, or that other teams figured out what we were doing and found a way to ruffle his feathers?

For those who blame JC have you not put any thought into the fact that possibly injuries may have caused our O-line to break down faster leaving JC no where to go with the ball?

and...lastly do we not put some if not a good majority of the blame on coach Zorn for not sending in plays that would give JC time to throw the ball since the line seemed to break down quickly?

This game was a reminder of some of our holes... Rabach was terrible all game... look at it... this game was a reminder that his skills are diminishing. I would not mind the Skins trading down and get a new beast center (Unger/Mack or Wood in 2nd round) and pick up a good not great LB! This game also showed the reason Markus Washington is on the streets right now... Steps slower than his pro bowl season. Also need to get more pass rush, this is how the Cowgirls started to mount a comeback!!!

That game shows me tons!!!!!

JC is doing fine!!! He is not great but we can win with him.

I watched this game last night, and (since we now have AH) all I kept thinking was how little rush our DT's accomplished. I was dreaming about AH taking one of those single blockers that they had up front and just mauling through them to Romo. Of course I doubt AH will ever have a single blocker on him!!

AMEN! Remember that time when he ducked the inside blitz then hit Santana for an 80 yard bomb against the Cardinals?

Zorn has a good quarterback to work with. I'm glad that we got him. I won't forget when he was a rookie against the Giants in 2006...............it was the fourth quarter and we were down by six points. Gibbs called a busted play, but Campbell found Betts and scored a touchdown with it anyway. Campbell is a good quarterback. Zorn just needs to realize that you can't leave the edges open for a blitz if you're going to throw the ball 60% of the time.

P.S. Read my sig!!!

Re: Redskins@Cowboys NFL Network

Enough of all you JC haters! My god give it a rest. To say the guy played terrible is just stupid. He played good the first half and I'd say average (considering the circumstances) the second half. He needs to take it to the next level in 09. Everyone knows that. But to sit here and say he's terrible makes me wonder if some of you have any football IQ.

Re: Redskins@Cowboys NFL Network

Guys Jason is a decent QB but you can't blame the OLINE every season, Or talent around him because Cooley is a Pro Bowler, Portis is a Pro bowler, Sellars and Samuels aswell!! He has to make plays not the OLINE.
