Michael Vick in Talks to Become PETA Spokesman

Michael Vick in Talks to Become PETA Spokesman - Advertising Age - News

Controversial or not I'm a huge Vick fan I'm a diehard Hokie fan and cannot wait for this guy to come back. What he did was awful and almost unforgiving but everyone deserves the chance to own up to everything and be remorseful which is what I hope Michael does. Just thought this was an interesting article.

LMAO. This is like OJ or Chris Brown trying to become a spokesperson for a battered womens shelter. PETA already showed how crazy they were with the human milk/Ben and Jerry's deal, now this? Wow.

I can't think of a better spokesman.

Well, I am a huge Vick disliker! He was a massively overrated Qb but he could run like the wind. He does not deserve another shot unless he can make it though a camp and win the job. Just cause he was a former QB doesn't mean he should be handed a shot. If he is good enough to win a position, then let him.
I find this to be a joke, and a slap in the face to all animal activists. Gotta give Vicks advisors some credit though.

Doing ones time means you have paid your debt legally under the law. It does not mean the mental disconnect that originally caused you to commit such heinous acts on animals has.................changed, or rehabilitated in some way. Because he HAS legally paid for his crime, he deserves another chance to.....work.
Any person who would ever do what he did to an animal is a.....bad guy!
I must admit I AM SURPRISED at Peta. I am confident that will be cause for regret on their part.

Apparently there are many PETA people, but not all, who are pissed even at the mention of this idea.

Lighten up. He's paid his debt to society and hit rock bottom. He did a terrible thing but life moves on. He deserves another shot if someone is willing to give him one. No one is going to hand him anything. Look around the NFL at all the poor QB play. Teams are desperate to win and someone will probably give him a chance. Afterall Leonard Little is still playing.

Did you ever stop and think that maybe some good will come of these ads? Maybe it will stop people from dog fighting cause they'll see the punishment if they're caught. I think it's a good idea.
