Herzog: "Voice of the Eagles"??

Well no, not exactly. But Frank will be doing play-by-play of a Eagles vs. Browns game in October. He's doing it for a nationally syndicated radio network called Sports USA Radio. He's just doing it for this game right now but he might start doing more games later or next season. He's not too sure right now. The Eagles game works out well for him because it's the same week as the Redskins bye so he doesn't have to do his Redskins post-game radio show.

The game will be heard in the DC area on either 570 AM or 980 AM, to be determined. Nationwide, I'm not sure what affiliates syndicate Sports USA Radio.

Anyhow, I thought I'd give you guys an update on the true voice of the Redskins.

That whole thing still angers me to no end. Every Redskins fan wants Frank calling the games, yet he is replaced for no good reason. I know it wasn't his call but I can't believe that Danny couldn't exert some pressure to stop this. He grew up listening to Frank call the games himself.

Did you guys read the Larry Michael article a few weeks ago?
Michael is a play-by-play guy AND an executive within the company. The people that fired Herzog and replaced him with Michael are actually below Michael in the administrative structure for the company. They claim that that had nothing to do with it, but when you have a guy like Herzog in place, why make a change?
