Halfback pass.
I apologize if anyone else already brought this up but didn't Dave Meggett throw two Td passes against us in two regular season games back in either the late 80's or early 90's?

You must have a video library because I don't recall those plays that far back.

Meggett did it twice to us in 1993. I have a feeling Morris might have done that once as well

So 93' was post Gibbs & Pracells? I could have sworn it was when they were both still coaching. My point was Gibbs should have seen that one coming!!

Well, we can do that with Tom Tupa and Rod Gardner.

I remember Brian Mitchell doing the same thing soon after Megget did it.

You never expect the option going left, but it is no secret that Parcells likes the play. Keyshawn and Glenn have thrown it too.

A defense like ours is going to fall victim to trick plays like that from time to time, that's the downside of being so aggressive.

The DBs and Safeties on the deep routes just need to be more disciplined and stay with their guys.

Gibbs likes that play too. Against the Giants at home in the 1990 season, Gibbs called the play and Byner threw a touchdown to Ricky Sanders. In the Cowboys game at home in '92, he called it and Byner threw the TD to Terry Orr.
I just wish Gibbs had something as creative on Monday night, too. |

Yes, the Giants and Dave Meggett did burn us several times with the halfback pass, but this was in the Norv Turner years.

spurrier had rod gardner throw a TD pass to tim hasslebeck last year (WR throwing to a QB? priceless), but a bad call ruled it incomplete (what crap)...
