Metallica tickets question
I'm trying to book Metallica tickets in advance for their upcoming show in Charlottesville, VA on October 17th. I guess my question would be does anybody know of any sites that could get me a possible discount or help me out with this? I was on Metallica's website and I wanted to look at their tix prices so I followed the tour links and whatnot and looked into buying a ticket off UVA's JPJ Arena website, and after doing the math, it ended up lookin like this: 49.50 for the ticket, 11.50 service charge, 2 dollar facility charge, 3.75 processing fee, and to top it off if I wanted to park near the stadium that's another 17.40 to bring my grand total to about 82 bucks-ish.
I looked into all the regular user-sell tix websites like stubhub, tickets.com, etc. and the mininum price listed was 91 bucks, so that's out. I don't have a lot of money what with everything I have going on so I'm basically trying to cut out the middleman and just buy cheap tickets direct from somebody or find a site that could get me a possible discount to lower the price by 5-10 bucks. Anybody got any advice? I feel like it's an exorbitant price but I've been wanting to see Metallica for a while and I figure I should take this opportunity while it's still available to me. |

Re: Metallica tickets question
I love going to concerts but I will say all the added fees are killing me and preventing me from seeing some lesser known artist.
I get emails from Livenation.com saying that they don't charge service fees. I would check with them. |

Try ticketluck.com and enter the discount code "CAROL" on the checkout page in the discount code box. I always get my tix from this website, and enjoy the discount

Re: Metallica tickets question
Try craigslist, often there are honest fans selling tix for face value.

Whoa! Did NOT know they were coming to C-ville... That's two days before my birthday. Maybe I can give the wife a few hints...

I'm just going to throw this out there: I was not impressed in the least the only time I ever saw them live...sorry, folks.

Re: Metallica tickets question
I'm really not a fan myself, but some of my friends who are always rave about them live.

Re: Metallica tickets question
I have seen them in concert maybe 20 times, it is usually a pretty damn crazy show. Now I have not seen them in some time so considering they are aging and their fan base is aging they/show might not be as good.

I saw Firefall and Little River Band for free this past weekend but I probably spent
82 buckish on beer. |

Re: Metallica tickets question
Oh I'm a huge LoG fan, I've already seen 'em live once at the 930 club back in '07 and I'd love to see them again. The entire lineup for the tour (Metallica, LoG, Gojira) sounds crazy awesome and I was looking forward to buying tix until the cheap 50 dollar ones sold out. I'm considering buying good seats online but I'm not sure if I will because I have a court date coming up 3 days after the concert for a speeding ticket I got that I'm sure is gonna cost me and idk if I can handle it money-wise.

Save your money and go see Skeleton Witch or Cannibal Corpse.
