Nationals make it eight in a row!
They just beat the Diamondbacks 9-2. It's probably too little too late, but man are they hot right now.
Is there another team in the majors hotter than the Nats? |

Re: Nationals make it eight in a row!
Yeah watching the Nats during this streak has really made me appreciate them more than usual now. They've been finding different ways to win in almost all of these games and I find myself having a hard time believing they are playing this great after the struggles earlier in the season. I don't know how it happened but the light finally came on. And every time they get down in a game, like for instance yesterday when they went down by 5 runs early in the game, I always start to think, well it was a nice run while it lasted but I knew it wouldn't last forever, and then they just hold steady and come right back. I just wish it would've been earlier in the season, but for now I'm happy because with every winning game that passes they keep getting a better mentality in their heads that they can win games and compete with everybody, and that's only a good thing.

I just wish they were somewhere in the middle of the division instead of dead last.

Re: Nationals make it eight in a row!
Haven't been keeping up, due to there lack of winning. Nine in a row (impressive), where did that come from!

Get your red on!
Definitely nice to see the Nats playing well. Nice to see them scoring runs too, not just eking out 2-1 wins or losing 1-0.

Would be nice to see them be able to sign some of their top prospects. They got some great offensive weapons shaping up, but really need to plug in some pitching holes. I'm an A's fan but love seeing local teams do well.

Re: Nationals make it eight in a row!
I've been watching them a ton this year and it's hard to say that they're not entertaining. When they play bad it is brutal, but man it sure makes times like this feel great. I seriously don't think they're that far away from being pretty good so it's nice that they're not the butt of everyone's jokes at the moment.

Re: Nationals make it eight in a row!
In the meantime my Orioles have lost 10 in a row. Maybe we're tanking so we can get Bryce Harper. That would be fine with me.

I hope the front office does not get the idea that because of the winning at the end of the season they don't need to look for a great manager.

Re: Nationals make it eight in a row!
That's going to be an interesting call, but clearly these guys are responding and playing better since the All-Star break. If they finish strong, it's going to be tough to bring in a new guy.

Gotta love the nats baby. Winning in fashion.
Only 24 games back I think. Get your rally caps on!

Re: Nationals make it eight in a row!
The hitting has been great! Zimmerman is on another run...His hitting streak so far is 11 games. Now if we can keep getting good pitching. I hope Stephen Strasburg is as good as we expect him to be.

Re: Nationals make it eight in a row!
I watched the last two games this past Saturday and Sunday and the Nats really looked good. I like the way Willingham plays and he really won the game for the Nats on Sunday. I'll take a 3-game winning streak and hope it gets to another 8-game streak. I'm counting the minutes to find out about Strasburg.
