Jason Brown (Rams) knows how to stop Haynesworth
Not sure why he's talking trash, but I'm sure Al is filing this one away.
Has St. Louis center Jason Brown figured out the secret to stopping Albert Haynesworth? He seems to think so. In a St. Louis radio interview, Brown said in pretty simple terms that Haynesworth, a two-time Pro Bowler, tires easily. Brown played the last four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, squaring off against Haynesworth and the Titans on four occasions, and Brown essentially said that when the Redskins play the Rams on Sept. 20, St. Louis would utilize a hurry-up offense to tire Haynesworth. "I'm so glad we're playing Washington early in the year because it's going to be hot out there, we're going to be running hurry-up offense and he's going to get fatigued," Brown said. "And I'm not sure if you have watched film before, but when he gets fatigued, he taps out. He just falls down to the ground, and you're like: 'Oh my gosh, is he hurt? Is something wrong with him?' No, he's just giving the guy on the sidelines enough time to mosey on out there so he can get up, go to the sidelines, catch a breather, get something to drink and then he comes right back out. "And then people are like, 'I thought he was hurt.' No, he got tired. But you know what, that's exactly what we're going to have to do when we play Washington. We're going to have to play hurry-up offense and make them tired." "That's awesome," Zorn said with a chuckle, when told of Brown's comments. "What a great strategy." It's probably never good to give a player like Haynesworth extra motivation; as Zorn pointed out, never mind the regular season, "our guys don't want to make Albert angry at practice." And what does Haynesworth make of Brown's take? "Good," Haynesworth said. "Let him think that." washingtonpost.com |

Weird story.
Brown's probably hoping that all the prints of this article are out of circulation before we end up them playing this season. That way it won't see it's way to the bulletin board.

Zorn's response is priceless. "That's awesome, what a great strategy." Sarcasm so thick you could cut it with a knife

LoL, I love Haynesworth's response. It does seem to be a pretty strange interview though. I mean, the rams aren't in our division so for Brown to single out the Skins game and Big Al? Whatever, bring em on, we owe them one for last years debacle anyway...

That was the first thing I though when I read his response too. Gotta love the way Zorn talks.

I went to that Rams game and just thinking of the play where Pete Kendall tried to grab the lose ball and instead of just falling on it he tried to run with it and he fumbled it and that completely turned the game. In my opinion that has to go down as worst play of the year from last season hands down.

Lets just hope that when we play the Rams, Albert doesn't stomp on his head...Haha just kidding, but this Jason Brown guy is a dumbass for saying that. An overpaid decent center, vs. a 2-time all pro DT. Good Luck Jason!

From the way he talks they are game planing for a game over 40 days away. That makes sense.

Well, in Brown's defense, at least he isn't going and writing a check someone else will have to cash.

Re: Jason Brown (Rams) knows how to stop Haynesworth
its actually a huge compliment that the entire rams offense scheme against us of the hurry up is completely geared towards one player . . . now thats an impact player.
bulgers been in this league long enough to know how to run an effective hurry up but i still like it. go skins!!
