Skins-Free Sunday: How did you spend it?

So today was the first Sunday in a month and a half that we haven't had to grind through a Redskins game (yes, it's a chore to watch them this year). How did you spend your day?

It was perfect fall day here in DC. I slept until about 10am and then cooked an awesome breakfast. My future sister-in-law (my fiancee's twin sister) is in town from Florida for a few days, so the three of us went to the gym after breakfast. I lifted weights for about an hour, and then ran the 4 miles home on the Capital Crescent Trail. What a great day for a run outdoors.

Went to dinner at my Dad's place. Had a tasty pork tenderloin with a few killer bottles of Pinot Noir. Now I'm enjoying a single malt scotch and watching the Giants shit the bed.

Great day overall.

Re: Skins-Free Sunday: How did you spend it?

yeah slept in until noon, took a shower and then went out and sat through the sunday traffic while I did some errands and a little shopping. Came back home, flipped on the Dallas/Falcons game and did some bathroom organizing. Spent a few hours cleaning my room as it was due for the once-a-every few months cleansing and have been switching back and forth between the Yankees/Angels (go Angels, I'm rooting for them because they are a classic underdog) and the Giants/Cards (Cards beatin some ass, hopefully they pull it out) games. S'posed to go to bed soon because I gotta be up at 4 am for work but I'm familiar with getting low sleep lolol.

Slept in (as much as the kids let me).... took the kids to a corn maze/pumpkin farm. Spent the whole afternoon in the sun, just me and the kids hanging out and doing some racing and chasing. A most splendid day!

Church, lunch with parents, mid-Sunday workout, cleaned the house, then watched a little football.

slept in, had a lazy morning/afternoon, played a few games of Madden, went out for some killer mexican food for dinner, busted out some wine and lit the first fire of the season in the evening, watched some football, watched some baseball, good day but as usual the weekend was over before it even started.

I was on the road, visiting family in Virginia (the northern neck). Didn't see a lick of football, it was actually a nice change from it.

Of course now I'm jonesing for it!

I'll have to start by saying what I did Sat. because I played my best round of golf shooting a 77 in 30mph wind. Sunday I cut the grass aerated the yard and put down some grass seed. Watched a little of the Vk and Stl game then went to a friends house for a punpkin carving party for the children which actually was a good reason for the guys to get together and drink a few beers. Came home and ate a fat steak and watched the Giants get beat by the Cards.

Took the kids to a pumpkin patch, then while they had their afternoon nap, I read the paper and watched the Steelers/Vikings game. Grilled some steak and shrimp for dinner, then finished up some laundry while watching the Giants/Cards game.

I slept Saturday away, woke up Sunday, and then slept it away too. First nap days in a good long time. Of course I was still tired when I got to work this morning. Go figure.

Re: Skins-Free Sunday: How did you spend it?

I'm really looking forward to another Skins free Sunday next weekend. Seriously, the end of the regular season can't come soon enough.

Cleaned out my garage and then turned on Redzone for 7 hours. It was a pleasant afternoon a watching actual pro's play football instead of the usual Skins game.

LOL! I felt the same yesterday. So stress free. My wife was even like it is so nice to have you in a pleasant mood on a Sunday.

For the record I have pretty much given up watching Redskin's football this year. I will have to have seriously nothing to do in order to watch them.
