VC: "We expected to be 3-3"
Redskins Insider - Cerrato: 'We expected to be 3-3'
God, I hate to pile on, but we expected to be 3-3? Really? A very, very weak schedule we expected to be 3-3? What did we expect our final record to be 5-12? VC makes the skins look bad. Damn. This probably doesn't need to be a new thread, but 3-3? Cerrato made his comments this evening on ESPN's pregame show in an interview in the bowels of the stadium with Sal Paolantonio. Cerrato was fielding questions for the first time since announcing on his radio show Friday that Zorn would finish the season as coach. Paolantonio asked Cerrato about the timing of the announcement, and Cerrato offered: "Dan, myself, the organization want this to be successful. We expected to be 3-3, Sal; it's what we expected. So it took a little bit of time to recover from the loss and then to kind of figure out what we needed to do." |

Re: VC: "We expected to be 3-3"
The way he said it was like after we started 2-3, that we then expected to be 3-3. It's not like that was his preseason expectation's for us.

VC wishes he could be cool like Gary Busey.

Re: VC: "We expected to be 3-3"
Cerrato presumably meant that management expected the team to beat Kansas City after the 2-3 start, getting back to .500.

Re: VC: "We expected to be 3-3"
exactly. and if jason reid actually saw/heard cerrato, he would have know that. in fact, i'm pretty sure jason reid did see and hear cerrato, and simply decided it was a great quote he could take out of context and spin to suit his agenda. Jason Reid is proving to be every bit of the hackjob of a reporter/columnist that his predecessor was.

Me and my wife were watching him talk, and we both said that he is either coked out of his gord, or on a handful of painkillers.

Re: VC: "We expected to be 3-3"
How about we expect Vinny to be gone next year at this time?

Re: VC: "We expected to be 3-3"
Funny the Junkies were talking about needing a mercy killing by DS to show he's going to make the changes in the off season that are needed to make this team competative again. A person who would not effect the outcome of the game or season but would send a message to the fans and players that change will be coming. Some people came up with some doozies ......however mine would be Vinny Cerrato. I'd fire his butt now and tell the HC and Sherm Lewis to fix the mess as best as you can with the talent you have left after all the injuries. I'd make a public anouncement that Vinny's firing is just the begining and if players wanted to keep their jobs then they better play well. They don't have to win the games, but play well....no trying to catch the football with your helmits, no fumbling, so on and so forth.
