Horton to miss 4-6 weeks

Defensive back Chris Horton will be out four to six weeks and, possibly, four to six months because of an injury to his toe, Coach Jim Zorn said in his Monday news conference.
Horton would be out for the longer period of time if the injury requires surgery and is a candidate for the injured-reserve list, Zorn said.
Clinton Portis, who suffered a concussion Sunday, still has a headache and does not remember the play on which he was hurt. "I'd say he's doubtful for this week," Zorn said. "That's just my opinion."
Mike Williams will be out at least two weeks because of a ligament tear in his ankle; he'll see the specialist who performed Chris Cooley's surgery.
H.B. Blades, Jason Campbell and Stephon Heyer should all be okay, Zorn said.

Portis needs to sit out, not because of play or anything else. Concussions are bad things, and the last thing you want to do is go out and mess with it. No season, no game is worth getting your brain seriously messed up.

Even more reason to start Moore at FS and Landry at SS for the remainder of the season. Honestly, Horton has played very much like a 7th rounder this year anyways so no big loss.

The hospital ward is filling up. Somehow the Redskins are just plain cursed in 2009.

Now we can't bench Landry.

There's the silver lining! If you must finish in last place, and you must have terrible injuries, it is better to do both at once!

STICK A FORK IN THEM!!! The Redskin season is practically done. Time for some personnel evaluations. They need to find out who is worth keeping for 2010. No one is safe. From the head man Vinny, all the way down to the waterboy. Prove your worth in the second half of the season. If you are not performing, cut him, trade him, bench him, ... , whatever. Get rid of the dead weight.
