Skins Cut Rasby
I just heard on the radio that the Skins cut Rasby and Brandon Barnes and have resigned Kozlowski and Fred Baxter

Whoa. I guess after Rasby got manhandled by that DE from Chicago...they gave him the boot.

I'm kinda suprised by this since Rasby is one of the better blocking TEs in the league. This kinda makes me think we'll be seeing FB (Sellars) in the backfield more often.

Like cpayne said, I'm guessing the emergence of Sellars in a more traditional FB role made Rasby expendable.
Too bad we didn't still have Bryan Johnson. I read he's having a heck of a season for the Bears and the coaches called him their offensive MVP so far. |

Yeah, Gibbs really wanted Johnson, but some team kind of pulled one over on us with that big ol first year roster bonus.
I guess Gibbs probably wants a different kind of TE in there now. Now he has a massive fullback in Sellers, an outstandingly talented rookie tight end in Chris Cooley, and now he'll have Koslowski back in the mix (what type of player is he again? is he a balanced type?). I have to say that Sellers put up some nice blocks and I wouldn't mind seeing those same blocks every Sunday.

BJ has 9 catches, 51 yards, 2 TDs this year. But I guess he's opening up a lot of holes for Thomas Jones. Though I don't remember him being a great blocker with us

Wow. This is what happens if you miss your assignments on the o-line! Gibbs is serious that he thought the o-line pass protection was the problem, and not Brunnell.

Baxter also brings considerable special teams experience with him.

Baxter probably would have stuck the first time around if he didn't get hurt. Cpayne is right, he's a solid special teams guy, something we could really use right about now.
