David Boston
How many of u think that Eagles would try to trade for David Boston if TO deal falls through. I think they should forget TO and go for Boston, since TO has more character problems compare to Boston.
Plus its will be lot easier to cover Boston than TO for our secondary. |

A healthy and motivated David Boston is no easier to cover than TO.

Are you talking about the same David Boston who once told his teammates to go easy on him because his newly pierced nipples were sensitive?
If I remember right, he was nearly cut by the Chargers last year because of his attitude and his tendency to skip practices. Then again, his near release could be have been a result of a clash with Marty's ego. Anyone know if Tai Streets is leaning toward any team? I think he could be poised for a breakout season under the right circumstances

Boston has got more of an attitude problem than TO. The dude's huge, too. When his head is on right, no one can defend him.

David Boston is an amazing player when he's at his prime and playing, which is unfortunatly rare. David Boston could be the premier receiver in this league if he was on a decent team and worked hard!

I don't even think he needs to be on a decent team. Just throw the ball up in the air!

I think David Boston sucks and his career is on the downside. What has he done lately? His biceps are too damn big for a WR ... he probably can't reach up for the ball anymore. TO is head and shoulders above Boston.

Boston didn't leave Arizona that long ago. Is he already up for free agency or are the Iggles looking to trade for him?
Personally I'm glad the Cards got rid of him. Boldin stepped right in to fill his shoes and more, as a rookie!!!!

Jackson was just re-signed by the Seahawks, so the Eagles are left with whole bunch of suck as far as remaining free agent WRs are concerned. My biggest fear is that they push to sign McCants. Aside from Darnerien, they're left with Tai Streets, Dez White or Kevin Dyson. That's not really an upgrade over Thrash and Pinkston.
They will almost definitely draft a WR (Reggie Williams, Michael Clayton, Lee Evans or Michael Jenkins). I think TO has already made enemies in Baltimore so I wouldn't be surprised if he still ends up in Philly via a trade with the Ravens. Legally, the Ravens own his rights... no doubt about it. As far as Boston is concerned...Reid wouldn't put up with his crap for a minute. Last edited by EEich; 03-09-2004 at 10:04 PM. |

Living in San Diego, I have to weigh in on this. Boston is an amazing physical specimen but unfortunately, his head is seriously messed up. One of the reasons Brees was having a tough time (and there are many) was that Boston wouldn't bother running patterns unless he was primary. It's not hard to cover receivers if they don't move. The local stations used to count the number of plays he took off per game and it was something serious. Boston was motivated two years ago to get out of Arizona and get a big contract. He got both and couldn't give a damn about anything now. he is a cancer for any team.

For the above poster, don't undercut Dez White. I know he's been a disappointment thus far in the NFL, but I think the kid will take off once he gets a QB. Grossman is starting to come around but you don't get a ton of looks with Booker on the other side.

He is to big to be a productive WR anymore. I know that almost seems like a stupid comment but I really think that his body just isn't able to handle the movements needed to make many catches. his flexablility can't be what it once was. And all that extra weight definately slows him down. He should lose about 25 lbs and he'll be a monster again. |
