Lame as usual. I can't wait until Orakpo moves to DE, he'll be there every year.

Congrats to Orakpo, but how Vilma makes it over Fletcher is beyond me.

Re: Redskins in 2010 Pro Bowl
London Fletcher WAS MLB 134 89 45 2.0 -- 7 1 0 2 2 1 -- --
Jonathan Vilma NO MLB 110 87 23 2.0 -- 11 3 0 25 11 0 -- -- London had 24 more tackles, the same amount of sacks, 2 less int's, and 1 FF to Vilma's 0

Re: Redskins in 2010 Pro Bowl
ProBowl................you kidding me..........there isn't one person deserving to go to the ProBowl. This is the ProBowl not the "he played hard every game bowl" Damn near everyone of these guys should be sweating whether they have a job with the Skins or any team next year. Fortunately every loss wasn't on TV up my way. So most of my resentment was focused at the information provided by ESPN Radio and TV. Always kept uptodate on how bad they were and still are.

Re: Redskins in 2010 Pro Bowl
People usually vote for players based on Madden Ratings and what team they're on, not on individual merit. Thats why some teams send double digit numbers to the pro bowl. The fact that the Saints for dominant much of the year combined with Vilma's name recognition got him voted in over Fletcher. Funny thing is that Fletcher might be the first player elected to the hall of fame without a pro bowl. Either way the pro bowl is a popularity contest.

Re: Redskins in 2010 Pro Bowl
just to point out...
look at the offensive linemen and the teams they play for... 2 Saints OL 2 Vikings OL 2 Cowboys OL 1 Eagles OL 1 Giants OL All of these teams have winning records... one one (G-Strings) not in the playoffs... What can we deduce from this??

Re: Redskins in 2010 Pro Bowl
Surprising that Orakpo makes it as a rookie.
Haynesworth picks up $43M and no Pro Bowl in his first year with his new team. In the offseason Hayenesworth was considered the best player in the NFL and he doesn't get a selection to this popularity contest. Not that I think he deserved it, it's just frustrating to see the front office bring in this one big fish when our depth was our biggest liability.

Re: Redskins in 2010 Pro Bowl
Worst move ever was letting the fans vote for the roster. Fans do not know if a guard or a DT is any good. They vote by flashy stats like sacks (Orakpo).
I liked it better when the players and coaches voted. The players actually appreciated it more when they were selected by their peers. This thing is a shame. |
