Can someone tell me what happened?
I missed what happened between Warren Sapp and Norv Turner. Was there anything to it? I heard about it but missed them talking about it on SportsCenter. I'm just curious as to what happened.

sapp is an ahole and got pissed that norv sucks as a head coach basically... sapp yelling and trying to be intimidating on the sideline in norv's face... i don't think its really gonna be a big deal, but its part of the reason TB didn't want him back...

Supposedly Al Davis told someone in the box while watching the game that this is the worst Raiders team he's ever seen.
Can you say one and done for good ol' Norv? I couldn't believe he was hired in the first place. They've gone from Gruden to Turner in just a couple of seasons, yikes. |

Norv is too soft. He allowed a lot of crap to go on while he was in D.C. Remember Stephen Davis and Micheal Westbrook's catfight?

Catfight is putting it very nicely, Westbrook should have been suspended for a few games for that cheap shot.

I'm no big Norv fan but the Raiders did lose their starting QB early in the season so some of the problems stem from that.

Yeah Collins was supposed to be the better fit and while they won't admit it they brought him to start, not to back up Gannon. But Gannon had a good preseason and won the job. Now Collins is in there and he's stinking up the joint, and probably what's hurting them more is the lack of a feature back.

Norv has zero control...never has, never will. Sapp is just an idiot. Perfect match.

The Raiders have been devastated by injuries and that has been the biggest problem. Acquiring Warren Sapp was a big mistake. The coaching staff is doing everything to move Sapp around the line during games to give him the best matchups, but he is unable to be effective. Sapp is washed up and he is a nasty, mean windbag who is trying to cause trouble to distract from his own failures.
The biggest problem on the Raiders is personnel. Norv Turner is not the problem from what I can see; he is managing a difficult situation that no one else wanted to deal with. Charles Woodson is supportive of Turner and says that the problem is that there are too many players on the team that there are too many people who think they are stars on the team and not enough people willing to do the things you have to to win. Turner is fed up and is in the process of eliminating from the lineup the people who aren't cutting it due to effort. Turner inherited a terrible situation and I think he is doing actually ok considering. Woodson held out this summer and it was only due to astute diplomacy from Turner that Woodson returned. |

Turner is a joke, he had 7 years here and he was always plagued by the same problems. He's just not head coach material.
