Looking for a lil help from my fellow warpathions...
I am almost done with my man cave and cannot seem to find a photo of the infamous seat cushion game (NFC Divisional Playoff Game, January 4, 1992, RFK ) Where the fans tossed their seat cushions on the field. Anyways I was there and still have my seat cushion. I have it on a shelf and would like to frame a photo of the event to hang behind it on the wall. So if anyone has a jpeg or photo of it would you please post for me. I guess i can just save to a stick and enlarge at the store. Man that game really was amazing, my uncle was friends with timmy smith and got us tickets to the game, we went into the tunnel and the players were high fiving me chanting "we going to the show" then we hung out with them in the player parking lot afterwards. I was younger but I can remember chip lohmiller being really cool sitting on his truck tailgate talking to us, Gary clark walking to his white mercedes with tags that read 8clark4, and riggins with a woman on each arm walking around reaking of alcohol, and hitting on my mom. Oh and i remember asking every skinny black guy that walked out if he was darrell green....lol but they were all cool and signed my ball too. Man the good old days huh. Well i strayed a little but if you can hook me up with that pic I would be greatful! Hail!

No the game was at RFK against the Atlanta Falcons, and I am looking for any photos of the cushions on the field. Yea it was pretty funny, because they were all saying kid do i look like that ugly man? then they would smile and say "gimme your ball man" and sign it for me. Thanks for your help.

FOUND THEM! Second link I posted, go to page 17!
They even have one of the cushions flying, plus plenty of game action shots. If you can't find a free one from someone here, it may be worth the purchase from Getty Images.

Man that was quick! Thanks!! So do I have to pay to get the photos without getty images written across the front? Sorry i have never used that site before. Is that the only site like that, because I also wanted one taken from the press booth showing the field covered in them.

Re: Looking for a lil help from my fellow warpathions...
Yeah, those are "official" media images. A lot of times when you look at newspapers, it will have AP Photo or Getty Images typed small underneath, so to get them without the watermark, you have to buy them. I don't know the cost...never bought from them but I've known about them forever. Great place to search for photos. Too bad they're not free but if the cost is not bad, it would be worth it for a Redskins room and a photo that means a lot to you personally.

Send an e-mail to one of the people that cover the Skins, they might be able to help you, though I don't know how much of a priority it will be to them. Matt Terl posted up some Gary Clark Pro Bowl pics I think from the 91-92 season the other day.

I still suggest hitting up someone who covers the Skins to see if they'd be willing, maybe you can share some of the pics/stories of your man cave, not sure if that's been covered on the Skins blog or not before, redskins rooms.. |

Re: Looking for a lil help from my fellow warpathions...
with it being a medium opacity white watermark you could PROBABLY find someone to clone/heal the area to make it much less visible
not that I'm condoning such action |

Getty says this is the guy who took the picture:
Professional Photographer Al Messerschmidt in tarpon Springs | SportsShooter.com The Sports Photography of Al Messerschmidt - Sports & Celebrity Photography Perhaps contact him directly and he might be willing to sell you the print? Be as detailed as possible in your contact to him and see what happens.

Could be, but perhaps he's got others that he didn't sell to Getty? I don't know. I just know it never hurts to ask...
