Too bad

...we threw all the money at Brunell, or we could make a run at Brees this offseason. I realize all you guys are Ramsey homers, but Breeks is looking like a sold QB this year. Since the Chargers won't go after him since they have Phillip "I'm a pretty boy" Rivers, he'll be out there for the taking.

No Thanks. Brees is good. Good as a rookie, horrible sophmore slump, great as a sophmore. Not better than Patrick Ramsey.

I'll take Ramsey over Breeks. Breeks has shown flashes before, the Chargers do this all the time. They will eventually collapse and let Devner take the division.

I like Drew Brees but this is not going to happen. He will be headed to Miami, Tampa or Dallas. Way to expensive even for Danny as a back up to Brunnel.

But if they did it I would be a happy camper.

Let's give Brees some credit, right now he's playing his ass off and if I had the choice of who I'd want playing QB for my team right now, I'd have to take Brees over Ramsey.

Brees is setting himself up for a very nice offseason signing with someone, but it won't be us.

I realize it won't be with us, but I'd rather see him with us than with the Cowboys (though isn't Henson their future).

every year we get a ton of free agents, then after the seasons we realize we need a ton more. I can honestly say that the only position I want us to improve on is QB, and that doesnt have to be by signing a new one. Hopefully one of ours will step up and take lead. The rest of our team is doing a great job though.

Plus, Brees has done more in his NFL career than Ramsey...gotta go with experience over potential right Gibbie (would insert smilie, but I am not allowed)

Actually a smilie there would be perfectly appropriate.

We just don't need to know that you're smoking.

I'm at work right now, should I post a work smilie just so you'll know what I'm doing?

I was under the impression of one post, you said if I post another emoticon I am gone. I just can't post the smoking one?...and I would be fine if you posting an "at work" emoticon.

This thread is so hypocriticle, what was BREE'S last year? He was horrible, infact he was so bad that the charger's drafted another QB in the first rd. after drafting Bree's in the first rd. 2 year's earlier, Bree's has had some time to get comfortable with Marty, and the charger's have done a good job of surrounding him with talent, Ramsey showed last year he can hang in there and be productive under dire circumstances, Ramsey was barely able to turn around and plant before he had a defender in his face, if he had the kind of protection Brunell has had he might think he need's a lawn chair out there, that's how bad the pass blocking was last year, IMO he showed more under fire than Bree's ever did, I also find it ironic that the talk about Bree's is surrounded on how good he has become, as if he's the only one on the planet that can better himself, Ramsey's skill's and arm are better, and he is smarter, and yet we already know he will never get any better even though he has far less starting experience than either Bree's or Brunell, so let's just keep him on the bench because we are incapable of develpoing talent unlike other team's, the grass is not alway's greener on the other side of the fence, I could see it now we sign Bree's to a mega contract then he comes in and struggles because he has to learn a new system, and the same guy's would be calling for his head after 4 games, we should rename this thread monday morning QB's.

I have an idea for some of you how bout we trade Ramsey for River's straight up? After all neither one can crack the starting lineup.

Ramsey homer. How can you say that he is smarter than Brees, where do you get off?
