Redskins minicamp: A Day 1 obstructed-view summary
There's no media access to minicamp today, so we don't have any first-hand accounts of how the first practice session unfolded. But here's what we do know so far:

Cool!
Very glad to hear Heyer isn't in the starting lineup. What we have there looks pretty solid over the last 2 years assuming Williams can transition to the pro game and Casey improves his game. RB pic was pretty cool. Johnson is a BIG dude.

Ironically our line looks pretty good pick wise. Two first rounders, two third rounders, and an UDFA in Hicks. Then backing them up we have a fourth, two seventh rounders, and an UDFA with starting experience.

Looks like they have a lot of LB's in camp. Good. Lot's of competition. The final roster should be very interesting this year.

I like the things coming out of Redskins park. These are big changes and i like the participation from all. That pic of the three rbs is awesome. And yes you are right johnson is a beast of a man!! Lol... I like the oline alignment although I really didnt expect BMW to be able to hold down that RG spot. Don't the guys have to eb pretty athletic in this system?

Re: Redskins minicamp: A Day 1 obstructed-view summary
I think Trent was 71. I saw Kelly Johnson making jokes with BMW, about what that was all about. He said it was between him and the rookie. I think it is BS. I would hope if BMW is a starter and makes the roster the rookie should have to get another number.

Re: Redskins minicamp: A Day 1 obstructed-view summary
The official website has their numbers listed as such, 71 for Mike and 72 for Trent. The joking explanation is very plausible.

Re: Redskins minicamp: A Day 1 obstructed-view summary
Mike Williams has been oft injured during his career. I highly doubt he plays the whole season, so hopefully Chad Rhindehardt-atart is ready to kick some ass. I mean the kid was a friggin mauling LT in college. I know we was in the lower division but he's had 3 years to adjust and playing RG is much easier than LT.
...or I guess we could move Hicks to RG and bring Heyer off the bench to play RT
