Congress wraps up session
Now they get to come back and tell us what a GREAT job they did (if only it wasn't for the other guys). Couldn't they really boil all the elections down to the following slogans:
Incumbent Rep/Sen.: Our Congress would have been better if the [name of opposite party] was more rational. Opposition Rep/Sen: The [name of opposite party] is irrational, we need to get more control in order to pass the right laws. Tea Party: Both parties stink. Have some Tea. And they're out! Re: Congress wraps up session
it really pisses me off how much money and time is spent campaigning vs actually working for the people. The system is seriously flawed. The thing that pisses me off the most is the fact important problems are put off, delayed because of possible impact to the elections. Problems like immigration, energy policy get pushed to the side which need to be addressed...both sides are equally guilty

Re: Congress wraps up session
what pisses me off is how much time "working for the people" is simply arguing non-issues and bringing other peoples money into a Rep/Sen's district. Political jobs did not start out as full time affairs, and we could live with a federal behemoth that took time to actually work in the world rather than in the stratified environments of DC.

Re: Congress wraps up session
Hey can't blame the lack of production on the Rep. this time they could pass any bill they wanted if the Dems could agree as a party. Ok, I took my shot. I pretty much agree like the rest of you except I wish they would stay on vacation for 11 months out of the year. Matty I agree with you on the smear crap.

Saw back to back smear ads last night. Dino is a Wall Street crook. No, Murray is a K Street crony. Unbelievable. And with the new supreme court ruling I'm noticing see a huge up-tick in third party attack ads.

Ive never voted before and doubt i ever will... In my opinion if you vote republican or democrat youre enabling everything you hate about US politics.
