Your Top 5 Most Talented Athletes In the World Today
Let's see how this list stacks up. Mine goes as follows, in no particular order. I judged mine on a combination of dominance in the sport and physical attributes. I'd say that production counted for about 60% of the score.
1. Messi 2. Usain Bolt 3. Lebron James 4. Ovechkin 5. Dwight Howard Honorable mentions: Ronaldo, Kobe, Peyton, Federer, Tiger, Brock Lesner, Floyd Mayweather/Manny Paquio

I wouldn't call Dwight Howard one of the most talented athletes. Most physically-gifted for sure, but his game has a lot of inconsistency and weaknesses at times. He can't carry the team.
My list: Albert Pujols Peyton Manning Tiger Woods Usain Bolt Roger Federer My #1 of all time would probably be Jim Thorpe.

Re: Your Top 5 Most Talented Athletes In the World Today
You have to actually perform in a sport with limited equipment. So if you know a wheelchair racer you can include him, but someone that drives a machine, while technically a sport, doesn't necessarily count as an athlete within the context of this thread.
Wrestlers are more like stuntmen. Sure their job is dangerous and they're in good shape but they're technically not playing a sport.

So Jimmie Johnson doesn't count then?
Interesting to see people say Federer, yet not Nadal
