Brian Westbrook and TJ Houshmandzadeh?

Neither Brian nor TJ is getting much playing time and they are both unhappy with their situations. Westbrook has only been in on four plays all season. It seems to me that we could use both of these guys.

If we beat the Packers and it starts to look like we may be in the race for the NFC East title, does it make any sense to you to try to pry these players away from their current teams by trading players or low draft picks?

I think they might be able to help us make a playoff run and I also think that anytime a team has a shot at the playoffs they should consider making any moves that would help them get there.

Neither guy is a long term solution. I'd rather stick with what we've got than to keep giving up draft picks.

They won't make the difference for a SB run, sooo let's stick with what we got and figure out for sure who can do what.

We're talking playoffs here, Matty. Playoffs! You know you want it.

What if we could trade players who don't seem to fit here for them?

They should get better at making career descions and should have come to play here in Washington where they should have known they would have been valueable on a team without many weapons.

TJ choose not to come here and he just caught the game winning TD against Pittsburgh. He isnt going anywhere.

He would have done GREAT things here, but he's acheived great seasons already- he wants a ring, his contract is already paid in full. The Ravens LOVE the draft- maybe if the Skins offered a HIGH pick before the trade deadline they could wait for Stallworth to come back from injury but they also traded Clayton and with Heap being injured so often they got TJ cheap and its great depth for them unless we over pay and thats not in the Skins best interest.

Time for Galloway to pull it in, Banks to fill it like Dante Hall, and Armstrong to fullfill his destiny as our #2 receiver (fingers crossed).

WR depth definately took a hit today releasing DT.

A WR with only straight line speed is not that valuable. You do realize that Simpson also has 4.4 speed for KRs?

Per the Baltimore Sun, he's not happy about his role and his playing time.

Gotta agree here. That would just be some of the same old patch up type moves we have all come to hate over the years.

Re: Brian Westbrook and TJ Houshmandzadeh?

We could have had both guys before without giving up anything. I can't imagine why we would give up something for them now. If we wanted Housh, the time to ante up and get him has passed.

If we give up any more draft picks we'll be down to a one pick draft.

Matty is right, why waste anything on stop gap measures? I think that is what the FO is all about. Why did they just release DT? Simple, he wasn't in the long term plans for the team. Kelly is probably a goner next offseason as well. Too many good NFL WR prospects coming out next season and the next. Damn Ohio St alone has two potentials in Posey and Sanzenbacher and those guys are probably considered middle of the pack with what is coming out.

Well he's an idiot. He knew that Boldin was there, I can't remember if Clayton was there or not, but you also have Mason. So best case scenario, he would be competing for being #2, worst case he'd be #3. Had he come here or some other WR-starved team, he would have done much better in regards to playing time. Do I want him on the team? I don't know, but I think it is a bit ridiculous that he's complaining.

I know there pros but at this point it might take them to long to pick up the system & there not along term solution IMO.
