Interesting read on Special Teams play (not specifically Redskins related)
NFL.com has an interesting article on long returns this season:
NFL.com news: Rise of returners warrants special attention for coverage units I would only add, Banks was electrifying when he stepped on the field. I hope the Skins focused on reducing penalties, because he has the potential to go all the way on every return. |

I think its just a matter of time before Brandon Banks takes one to the house. Not IF, but WHEN. The Skins really need it to open up the scoring. The offense has really struggle except for the Texans game, and that spark would really help.

re: Interesting read on Special Teams play (not specifically Redskins related)
There have been huge special teams plays this season. New England demolished Miami mainly because special teams, and Oakland got by San Diego the same way. If there is a roster increase due to an 18 game season, I think we'll have players dedicated to just special teams and probably a big improvement in special teams among all teams.

The Redskins have to cut down on penalties during the returns or they won't mean a thing. They have gotten into the bad habit of being penalized frequently.
