HELP - Under-the-cabinet DVD Player
For Christmas I want to get my wife an under the cabinet dvd/cd player. It need not get cable or be a "TV", it just needs play dvd's/cd's. My wife has to spend far too much time in our tiny kitchen for her side business and I want to get her something that won't take up too much of the far-too-little space. Looking for something in the 100-150 range.
I just started looking and am running into all sorts of questions. 1) One brand I see is Colby, they get mediocre reviews but seem to be the only ones out there. 2) Lots have 7'' screens, that seems way too tiny for any reasonable viewing. She will be pretty much right on top of the screen but still not sure how 7" is really viewable. Anyone have any thoughts?

Why not a 19inch dvd/tv combo that goes on the wall, screw the under cabinet stuff the suck.
Or this one seems cool Walmart.com: MEMOREX UNDER COUNTER 8" WDSCRN LCD TV DVD NIC: TV & Video

Re: HELP - Under-the-cabinet DVD Player
I thought about a dvd/tv combo for the wall but just not sure there's enough room. It's a 10x10 kitchen with a horrible layout.

Re: HELP - Under-the-cabinet DVD Player
Why not a portable DVD unit? Then she can use it elsewhere besides the kitchen...

Re: HELP - Under-the-cabinet DVD Player
That would be fine. Don't know anything about those either though.

Re: HELP - Under-the-cabinet DVD Player
biggest issue is that there just isn't much wall or counter space to put things. So anything that needs either just would be hard to do.

My wife used it for entertaining our 3 year old on her first plane ride to Texas, and it worked out great. Can't go wrong with Sony, at least that's been my experience.
