i cant use the word sick to explain what i watched on tv today, the saddest part is that it went national at 7pm. that means the entire nation saw us CHOKE CHOKE in the finale seconds. Gibbs needs to take some Viagra before games maybe that will get him excited to open up the offense

And I watched this game with my Cowboy-lovin brother-in-law and nephew. Losses like these, the fans take a beating too.

Guy, I know this sounds stupid but I can't even stand to watch a Redskins - Cow-Whores game with anyone any more. I have a couple of friends who are Cow-Whore fans and they just give me shit the whole game. It's just not funny any more. I'm too emotionally invested in this team to listen to it and not react badly. I'm sure in a few days I'll have calmed down but I really hate how this 'broken record' keeps repeating.

Have a slightly different take - would've been sweet to win against Dallas and reverse the trend of being their bitches, but might as well take the loss and get licked next week and get a high draft pick. We had no shot at the playoffs anyway given that both Carolina and New Orleans won.

A few humble thoughts:

1. Joe Gibbs should be given ONLY one more year to get us to the playoffs. Given how good the defense is, and will continue to be next year, it is inexcusable to miss the playoffs because of an underachieving offense for the second year in a row.

2. I thought old school coaches like Gibbs were supposed to crack down on penalties - how many boneheaded penalties did we have today that cost us valuable field position?!! A 1000+ yds in penalties for the year - Gibbs has not instilled enough discipline in the team.

3. Will say this again - demote Don Breaux to offensive consultant (or fire him) - no sense having two conservative play callers - we need somebody with balls to complement Gibbs conservative play calling style.

3. We need a center, and new left tackle. Hopefully we can trade Samuels for a draft pick. We still can't run the ball effectively in week 16 - inexcusable! People call Gardner 50-50....how about ensuring our beloved 50 million dollar RB gives us 100% every week - credit to Brian Mitchell for calling out Portis for lacking intensity every week.

3. Who the hell is Antonio Brown? Why isn't Thrash back returning punts? Our special teams have underachieved tremedously this year.

4. Renaldo Wynn should certainly be gone. Boneheaded penalty in today's game, and diminishing contributor on defense.

5. Assuming we sign Smoot to a big contract, he better work on his tackling skills - Apart from being one of the most beloved redskin to us all, he is currently also the worst tackler in the league.

6. Ramsey and the receivers better work on their timing....when was the last time we saw a redskins Qb hit a receiver in stride for a big gain? I seriously dare anyone to think of the last time this happened - we might have to go all the way back to early last season. Ramey lacks anticipation - he has to wait for someone to get open and fire a bullet to him - he doesn't know how to throw fades.

7. Ramsey was back to his old ways...hanging on to the ball for way too long and lacking accuracy. Inexcusable pick in the second quarter. The more I think of it, the less Ramsey looks like being the great Qb of the future. He will always be good, make bullet like throws, and make the odd play to bring us back - but he has never engineered any 4th quarter come from behind wins. Wish there were a way to get rid of both him and Brunell and sign Drew Brees.

8. We didn't make the playoffs, our defense won't be #1 at the end of the season (given the Vikes will burn us a fair bit next week), Portis won't get 1500 - in a way its good neither of these things happened - hopefully, it makes us a hungrier team next year.

I've been down with the flu all day. Missed gift opening and Christmas dinner, but nothing was going to keep me from the Skins game today. I was all souped up on anti-bi-everything and kept a pail handy. I just about passed out at the end from lack of fluids and lack of ability to beat the dreaded cowboys. I got everything I wanted for Christmas, except a victory over the Cowboys.

consider yourselves lucky. all of you. lucky. i was at the game. not only did we lose in the worst possible fashion but i got to hear about it from about 50,000 cowpuke fans. except for everyone around me, who was literally consoling me... i couldn't move from my seat for what seemed to be about 8 days. besides the large piece of my soul that was ripped out and i can now never get back, i have to say that was an awful game. the people next to us left before half time saying they'd seen more exciting high school games. good times...

hurrykaine, I agree our special teams have sucked all year, but have you watched Thrash return lately? I don't remember the last time he gained any yards. He catches the ball, and he moves his feet around, dances, but NEVER GOES UPFIELD! I've been screamin' at my TV for them to get rid of Thrash on the return team. I'd rather see Betts out there.

I really thought they were going to win this game after they scored in the fourth. I was at a dinner party where I snuck to the basement to turn the game on only to see a deep ball burn us for a TD! :frusty:

If I had been there, you'd have heard about it on the news. I don't think I would have been able to restrain myself around those people.
