With :05 seconds left...

Should we have tried to run a quick play to pick up another 5-7 yards? Something quick to the sideline?

I dunno, perhaps it just wasn't enough time, we might as well have tried a hail mary... a 57 yard FG with Chandler, forgetaboutit.

I still can't believe we lost that game

My ears are still red and probably will be for a while. I'm ticked. Seems like the players don't understand what it means to us.

I don't think we could run a quick play with 5 seconds left and still had a tick left on it. I think sending Chandler out there was the best thing to do. It was pretty good kicking conditions (save for the 57 yards). If he had a little more leg, he would have been the hero. I didn't think he was going to make it, but it was really the only thing we could have done with any expectation of success.

I'm proud of the way Redskins' defense played tonight. But, I think we should have continued to put pressure on Vinny instead of playing prevent defense.

I would have faked the field goal and gone for the TD...F&#^ the conservative play calling!

Seriously though, I think cpayne is right. Kicking a field goal is all we really could have expected with any expectation of success...and for a brief second I thought we had it

Amen! Smootsmack - exactly what I was thinking too - should've faked the field goal and burned them - no one would've criticized the move - no one how knew a 55 yarder was out of Chandler's range would've criticized the move to fake a field goal.

What really irritates me about Gibbs is how he says in his press conference that they took a lot of shots downfield but the Qb was sacked and the ball was knocked down etc....the problem is, you can't count failed plays as taking shots downfield. I can't think of a single long throw Ramsey attempted - and Dallas is supposed to have a weak pass defense.

No shock, Mattie - we are like redsox fans (before this past year) - always waiting for something to go wrong in the big game. I sensed something was gonna kick our ass when they made 2 4th down conversions on their last drive.

Nothing else you could do but try. Better chance of making that than a hailmary. On that note the best we can finish this season is 5-11 not improving on Spurrier's record last year. Spurrier you my boy. Even though my UGA boyz gonna have beat up on some cocks. Man that just doesn't sound right.

I disagree, I wanted to fake a quick out and go to the end zone instead of trying a field goal, I knew our kicker's leg wasen't strong enough for that kick and so did the cowboy's, they would have been looking for a fake there, but they also knew another 5 to 7 yard's would have givin us a legitimate shot they would have been playing the sidelines I would pump and go an out route and went for the end zone that may have had a shot.

I dont know, if its Hail Mary or Feild goal, i'd say feild goal. But maybe a really quick out could have gotten us a bit closer. He was like 6 yards short though, I dont know if we could have gotten one that far.

Proud of giving up the game?? HEy the game is 60 minutes and there is nothing to be proud about losing. They also were NOT playing a prevent in fact they had 2 sacks on that series that forced Dallas into a 4th down situation which they made. They were playing a 2 deep cover zone. The corner (Spriggs) released his guy and was expecting Sean Taylor to take hm on. Vinny faked Taylor out for a moment and it allowed him to get open. Nice pass to also helped. Greg Williams will never play a prevent defense while on the other side of the ball Coach Gibbs plays a prevent offense, which you know what that means.

Prevent offense? Preventing our team from getting critical first downs?

How about preventing our team from scoring more than 10 points?
