That's just pathetic...for all parties involved.

I'm just glad he's not playing here. I always thought he was a hell of a blocker but a prima donna and a distraction who could of been even better if he wasn't allergic to practice.....and of course could stop falling down for no apparent reason.

He has to be really out of shape. Sad that he had a chance with NE and blew it. I would really like to see CP get a chance at a ring.

Not sure NE was really serious about signing him to begin with, they have plenty of depth at RB and they tend to work out just about every available player.

I wonder if health is a concern with his multiple concussions last season. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone though, CP had a lot of wear and tear here. This probably has nothing to do with his abilities I would say, it's just that he's worn out, plain and simple.

How bad is Kory Sheets if he got cut in favor of Larry Johnson and Clinton Portis?

Just you wait guys! Portis is going to make us rue the day we cut him!! He's going to show us one of these days......if he can ever make a squad....in the next decade.

It's tough for me to hate on Portis because he ran so hard for us for all those years -- hope he lands back on his feet.

I'll second that. Sucks for him that he's apparently not staying in shape since he got cut by the team. Could this be the end of C.Po as we know it?

Clinton Portis carried the load for us. He deserves respect for that.
It looks like it might be over for him, though. I'm thinking that he should retire from the NFL. I'm looking forward to the prospect of Clinton retiring as a Redskin some day and being inducted into the Redskins Ring of Fame. I believe he deserves it. |

It probably came down to LJ being in better condition. You hope that both of these guys put some money away during their heyday, because there will be no more big paychecks like they were accustomed to.
