Redskins training staff

Redskins training staff is showing itself to be a disaster. First Kelly slams them for his injury issue, now Landry. Any one has insight on this mess.

LaRon Landry’s tweets hint at setback, team’s involvement - The Insider - The Washington Post

Hope they put these fools on the chopping block if they can't get it together. Thoughts?

Re: Redskins training staff

Fools?

Two ball players (one of them totally useless) make a comment about sports medicine competence and you're ready to axe all of them?

I don't think Kelly said anything outright, but I believe he did hint at some challenges with the trainers.

Re: Redskins training staff

why would we put the training staff on the chopping block because two players want to blame their own health issues on the training staff? Kelly had chronic issues before we drafted him. Landry didnt, but seems like he could be one of those players that just cant stay healthy. If we had more players complaining, there could potentially be a problem. As far as i'm concerned, there's nothing wrong with our training and medical staff and the problem lies with Landry for running his mouth.

Typical of players to blame training staffs.

This department has always been an issue. Why? I don't know. I keep thinking it's because we keep the same people doing the same lame job but I doubt it.

Funny thing though, this is the first year I can remember in a long time the team in general came out of preseason with limited injuries. Go figure.

Maybe the training staff who prepares the team is doing a good job but the side that rehabilitates doesn't know their arse from a hole in the ground. All that money floating around and they can't pay top dollar for a decent doctor to give the right advise.

Today Landry said he pushed it too hard and didn't listen, doesn't blame the staff. Who knows...

Re: Redskins training staff

I can't really comment on something when I don't know the facts. Nobody knows what the training staff told them, or did, so w/e. Landry will be back on the field in a few weeks and Kelly never should've been drafted at all.

Re: Redskins training staff

We had serious issues with things like hamstrings and other conditioning type injuries in years past, and back then it was something i complained about and put total blame on the training staff. When Allen and Shanahan came in they fired the entire training staff and brought in a new team (and even painted the gym white). At one point they even interviewed Bill Romanowski. Last year we had far fewer injuries then before and so far it seems like we are still doing pretty good, minus a guy or 2. And considering the lockout I feel like the training staff has done damn good so far.

Perhaps LL's problem is his dietary habits and training routine:

D.C. Sports Bog - LaRon Landry's pre-game workouts

Re: Redskins training staff

If Landry spent half as much time working on his flexibility as he apparently does on bulking up, he probably never would have had the achilles issue, much less the hammy. This isn't a contest that judges who looks best in their uniform. Perhaps the training staff should remind Landry of that.

Yeahhhhhh.......... Maybe if he stayed in a little more shape and was at .02 percent body fat instead of .04 this wouldn't have happened?

Honestly I think this just happened because Landry pushed himself too far.

Re: Redskins training staff

SS,

Grant Paulsen, of 106.7 The Fan, said that Kelly insulated that the Redskins mishandled his injury and that Kelly was to explain in further detail in the coming months. Take it for what it's worth.

Re: Redskins training staff

I blame the lockout, screw u goodell! "Other blind generic finger pointing" ... lol smh .. our training staff us prolly decent but I bet its an area Snyder felt he could skimp on by bringing in 1000 free agents who didn't need a training staff... its a toss up who knows .. Landry prolly just aggrivated it... just got frustrated and like a normal pissed off person pointed his finger
