Re: Ten Years of First Round QB's

Chances of getting a good QB have been much better in recent years.

I think your mistaking unproven for good. Josh Freeman, Mark Sanchez, Christian ponder, Blaine Gabbert, Jaker Locker, and Sam Bradford are still unknown quantities. They could all end up busts.

Re: Ten Years of First Round QB's

Picks we've spent over the past decade.

Brad Johnson -1st,2nd,3rd
Todd Husak - 6th
Sage Rosenfels - 4th
Pharoah Ramseys - 1st
Danny Waffle - 7th (as I recall it was a conditional pick we had to give because the scrub DT we gave the Texans got cut)
Gibran Hamdan - 7th
Brunell - 3rd
Jason Campbell - 1st,3rd,4th
Jordan Palmer - 6th
Colt Brennan - 7th
McNabb -2nd and 4th

07..Brady Quinn and JaMarcus Russell. I never thought Quinn was going to amount to much. But I remember very well all the media hype about Russell cause he could sling it around in shorts and a tee shirt at his pro day. Probably the biggest bust of all time.

Re: Ten Years of First Round QB's

Gibbs should have taken Aaron Rodgers in 2005 and Darelle Revis in 2007.

The Redskins could have drafted Aaron Rogers with the 9th pick. Instead they drafted Carlos Rogers. Now Aaron Rodgers is a Super Bowl winning quarterback and Carlos Rogers is gone of to San Fransisco. We had two first round picks that year, 9th overall and 25th overall.
