I don't think Obama has done as bad a job as George W. did in office, but it's really annoying when people go out of their way to praise him or hate on him.

The 'Apology Tour' set the tone.

Can't go soon enough for me.

Amen. I think you and I have the same view on politics (at least that's what I remember). I get SO TIRED of people from the extremes of both sides thinking that "their guy/girl" are going to fix things.

Not sure if the same view or not, but I generally think both sides of politics are stuck in a never ending war that is only hurting the people in the end. And yes, fanatics from both sides annoy me.

Yup, that sounds about right.

Each group are the most stubborn I've ever met with any opinion on ANYTHING.

I tend to identify more than liberal ideas than conservation, and if you were to put me in a scale of 1 being liberal and 10 being conservative, I'm 3.5. Like you, I get so annoyed by the fanatics? If your "person" gets in office (and likely your person has been there in local/state/national government) how long do you ****ing give them because it's all the same?

It's better than having a dominant-party system, which what constituents of both parties are striving to achieve. In such a scenario, one of the strongest ass-prodding tools--the threat of losing to the opposition in electoins--is lost and thus holding the leaders accountable would be even more difficult to uphold than in our current system. This country will head south real quick if a truly dominant party establishes itself.
