Will we draft a WR or get a free agent

What do u folks think is gonna happen? Plaxico, Steve Smith, Moss, Williams, Edwards. What is the senario that you see happening, or what do you want to see happen?

Me I see either one of two things happening...

first senario: we get plaxico, and Draft Heath Miller in the first round.

Second Senario: We miss Plaxico, take Mike williams in the first and get an upgrade in tightend through trade or free agentcy.

I think the focus this year is to solve the problems on offense rather than drafting in the first for defense.

what i would like is for us to sign plaxico. hes huge with good speed, and still fairly young. in the first round i think we should trade down and get a second rounder. and assuming we get a 2nd rounder for gardner, heres what id like to see

1st rounder- David Pollack/Matt Roth- 2 guys who have unstoppable motors, and give a lot of heart with a lot of talent

2nd rounder- Elton Brown- Massive, strong, and experienced

2nd rounder- Top Center available

Don't understand why the huge sentement for Burress, the guy is M.Westbrook all over again he's nothing special, guy's are looking at him as if he's the second coming of Jerry Rice, 1 word for him UNDERACHIEVER! Don't want him, We will draft a reciever probably Edward's or Williamson, and while I am on it we are not drafting a TE in the first rd, mark it down!

Washington could be a good fit for Burress. Coles is a Hines Ward type receiever (granted not near as good) but he'll be able to open Burress up. I honestly don't get too psyched about Burress either, but no one coming out tickles me either.

Take WIlliams with the no. 1 or trade down. Joe's probably scared to take a Michigan WR in Edwards seeing his last no 1 Michigan pick was a bust.

Correct. We traded for the Saints THIRD ROUNDER last year for our SECOND ROUNDER... that makes sense....

BUT... we drafted Chris Cooley with that pick so looks like the jokes on me!

Honestly, I think just upgrading the line to give Ramsey more time to throw will make our current receivers look THAT much better.

What I like about Burress is his tremendous potential. When his head is in the game the guy is a force. Plus he's a proven guy that can step right in and won't have to adjust like a rookie will.

I'm not crazy about the lackadaisical attitude he seems to have at times, but perhaps Gibbs and this staff can get him pointed in the right direction.

Other than Burress there's not much to get excited about from the available free agent WR's.

Houshmandzadeh had a good season but he's more of a possession guy, Muhammad had a hell of a year but he's looking for a mega deal, I'm thinking Gibbs might think twice before offering another big contract to an aging veteran.

we have depth at WR, we have no depth at the line positions.

Mike williams is not a gamebreaker. braylon edwards is but drops alot of balls. no point in drafting those guys. let jacobs and McCants fight it out.

I USED to be all about drafting a WR, but the more I hear the outcry about WR's out of college being busts, the more concerned I am also getting. I DO like the prospect of drafting a good blocking TE in the later rounds and addressing the offensive line positions.

Whoever thinks that we're wasting our 9th pick w/ a TE is on some serious stuff.

I think we might end up trading down...

I agree, unless there's a Shockey/Heap/Gonzalez like talent there forget about it, even if there is can we really afford to take a TE when we have other more pressing needs??

What is a TE going to do to help fix the offense? Cooley is a good receiving option at the H-back, what we really need is a solid blocking TE.

We can easily find a good blocking TE via free agency or a 6th or 7th round pick.

I agree w/ the fact we have way more pressing needs on offense besides TE. TE should be the least of our worries.
