mocks

i love kaczur and bartells and think they would be phenomenal as redskin picks.

as an alternative at center i would offer ben wilkinson of LSU. he was hands down projected to be the best center inthis year's draft but tore a knee tendon early this season. he is going to be downgraded for that reason. he will be another player like kevin mawae. very mobile but not huge. he is also smart at making line calls.
put him on a line with someone like rivera or wahle or womack between him and samuels and you would have the makings of a kansas city level line.

I'm not an expert on college football by a long stretch, but everything I've heard about Spears suggests that he is a dynamic athlete with tremendous pass rushing ability. I heard one analyst describe as a LB with a DE's frame. Anyone more informed care to comment on this?

I like that read. And while I would be upset if we got a center with the 9th pick, if the guy is a stud I can see where it would help our team.

apparently bartells really sucked it up at the senior bowl according to kiper. but he did play at a smaller school, so he didnt play top flight.

Dude, Spears was all-Sec at Tight End when he was a sophomore. I think that suggests LB like athleticism.
