Site improvements
I'd like to get some feedback from you guys regarding the site.
What do you like here, what don't you like, what sort of improvements would you like to see here, content improvements, cosmetic improvments, etc. What do you like from other sites that you would like to see here, is there something here you really dislike and would like us to do away with, etc. Basically just let us know what would improve your experience here. Just let it rip, don't be afraid to come up with something crazy, who knows we just might be able to pull it off! Just so you know our first priority this offseason is to move the site to a virtual dedicated server. It should clear up the 'server busy' messages we sometimes see. It will offer us the benefit of a dedicated server at a more reasonable price. That's the only improvement I have set in stone so far. Thanks in advance for your feedback! |

I don't know how u can improve this, but the damn busy-server problem. I type my opinion and then press the submit button and server becomes busy as if booting me off the program. Another request would be to have different skins players in each category( playmaker, special teams, etc.) to chose as the person/Player that falls in the corner. I' m tired of morton I wanna have that ability to change it to Thrash or some else on special teams.

You don't need to change anything here other than the "server busy" thingy that pops up once in a while. The site looks great and it is easily navigated. Since I am a horrible speller and an even worse typist, I could use a spell check function for my messages, but that's really nit-picking.

As for the avatars I don't think u need to change them, just offer more a variety to give members a chance to chose between three or four different Avatars specified for each.

I mentioned this the other day in the Parking Lot area. I think we need to create a politics only area. I know we have the link to the other politics site but some people still like to post political stuff in there. Personally I don't come to the warpath to get in arguments and everytime I see some of the stuff it pisses me off. I say we try and weed out the political stuff if possible.

Maybe use the reputation feature of vBulletin a little more? It's there now, but isn't displayed publicly.
I think this will make people a bit more accountable for their posts. I'd like to see people think a little more before they post, and I think that having a public reputation may help this. Also, I think that there should be a higher threshhold for the blue hat avatar.

I made some minor tweaks to the board today to see if it helps the server busy messages.
As an administrator I'm not shown the server busy messages, so I can't tell when it's a problem. How often do you guys get these messages? On a daily basis? |

One note...the issue is clearly not with the warpath. During the worst times once I could finally get on there'd be like 5 people on the board so there's no way it was the warpath causing the problem. I have tried to see if there is any discernable pattern to when the problems arise but haven't noticed any. I guess there is some site sharing the server that justs kicks the server's ass. |

I've got a few servers in mind and I'm going to really get cracking on moving the site in the next few weeks. If anybody has any servers they want to suggest feel free to let me know. I'm looking at virtual dedicated servers, trying to keep the price at $15 a month or less. |

I'd say this has to be one of the best forums I have ever been on. The site has a lot of options but not too many of the type of options that no one ever uses. Most of all this is a pretty nice bunch of people. Not a lot of jerks and flamers. I enjoy participating in the forum a lot. You guys have done a great job with it.
