Re: gibbs talks with fans
well I just listened to the 38 minutes, it was great to hear some football talk.
First key point id like to bring up is that I love that Gibbs said that he wants to address all the teams needs through free agency so they dont get stuck hoping for someone in the draft. This gives us the ability to just draft teh best available player and groom him if we dont need him to start this year. He mentioned not wanting to hope that he gets a receiver in the draft, then have the top two taken before the 9th pick and then he is stuck hoping to trade down becuase its too early to draft the third receiver.

Re: gibbs talks with fans
Wut up Guys, I was lucky, I was the second person on the radio show to speak to coach, Gibbs, my question how do our team in the past stack up against the 49ers, CowGirls, and Pats.....I was cool, living in San Antonio, and getting to ask a great coach a question.........I lived long enough

Re: gibbs talks with fans
The skins.com summary is pretty lame and since I'm at work I can't listen to the audio.
Anybody care to help a brother out and give some highlights? |

Re: gibbs talks with fans
I'm listening to it right now, I think this is going to be a very cool feature for us throughout the offseason. If anyone has time ( i know I will try ), we should see how many of us can get through. He defintley dosent back down from anything; which is going to be cool, if we do anything stupid. I defintley recommend checking it out if you havent heard it.

Re: gibbs talks with fans
With the way he talked about Muhammad and Burress, it sounds like those two may be out of the equation due to their hefty salary demands.
I wonder who they'll be looking at? Porter? He's not going to come cheap either. Once you get past Muhammad, Burress and Porter there's not much left. |

Re: gibbs talks with fans
Matty I have felt all along that the we are looking to the draft for that impact WR, personally I believe they like Edward's and T. williamson, I believe Gibb's want's that very fast explosive reciever who can get behind the secondary, although I like M. William's I don't think he's what Gibb's really want's at this time.

Re: gibbs talks with fans
Edwards is at the top of Kiper's latest draft board as the best overall prospect. If this keeps up he'll be long gone by the time the Skins pick.
He's probably going top 5. I wouldn't mind Williams though. With the right discipline he has all the skills you could want. |
