Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Anybody think this is interesting? Apparently Clevelands Crennel has decided to allow the 4 year vet, Warren, to seek a trade? Do we need another DT. Seemed to be a major question before last year.

No way. Warren is overpaid and an underperformer.

Warren is Darrel Russell without the drugs. He not only "takes plays off"; he sometimes takes a whole game off.
Very risky bringing him in here...

Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
We don't need defense. Noble/Salava'a (assuming we can retain Salave'a) do just fine next to Griffen!

Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
First, I doubt we'd get anything higher than the 25th through 45th pick. Everyone knows Coles wants to leave and we may release him. Everyone also knows about Coles' toe. So, forget about getting a high first round pick for Coles.
Second, I do think we need some new blood on defense. With Smoot's likely departure, we either need a new corner or a pass-rushing threat on the defensive line. While I like Walt Harris, he's not as good as Smoot and he's getting long in the tooth. If we lose some of our ability to cover, you need to make it up with some pass-rushing threat. While Griffin played great last season, he alone doesn't bring consistent pressure on the quarterback. Salave'a and Wynn are good run stuffers, but they don't provide a pass rush. Warner, Evans, and Daniels don't get consistent pressure either. While Williams is good at masking weaknesses on defense, he can't hide what is apparent to everyone - we don't have a pass rush without blitzing linebackers or defensive backs. Regardless of how good our linebackers and DBs are, you bring some heat with them and you also open up holes. |

Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Here we go again, did you guys see fox sports, meet the new Randy Moss (Mike Williams), we've blew it guys, not only did we let Randy Moss slip out of our fingers, now Minnesota, is bound to take Mike Williams, and will groom him, I hate have to watch shit like this happen, now we talking about trading Coles the hell with that, he stays, and bring Burress in, or we are screwed....I mean screwed, who hell wants to wait until Taylor becomes good or, get Davis Sorry Ass from Cleveland....no, no, no....If Coach Gibbs have another Radio Show, I will be questioning this move...I want SuperBowls, not good people or Core Group of Guys.....SuperBowls.....SuperBowls....I don't want Mark Clayton, or any other WR in the Draft

Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Wow White don't even know how to respond. Are you telling me Mike Williams is the only sure fire reciever in the draft. Haha, the man has zippy speed I mean we are talking 4.6 4.7 speed. My opinon can change if he shows me that he has worked out and has at least gotten to 4.5. I know he is tall and has tremendous ability, but I do not see him as a sure thing a WR. Don't be surprised due to his size and ability that he may be asked to put on about 15-20 pounds and try tight end. As for the other WR's they are all really solid espeically Mark Clayton. He may be the best all around reciever in this draft as far as stats and attributes go. If Minnesota takes Williams it would be a mistake they still have three very solid recievers with Kelly Campbell, Marcus Robinson, and Nate Burelson. They need defense really bad or a RB. I do not see them taking a wideout.

Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
A RB? They have Moe Williams, Onterrio Smith, Mewelde Moore, and Michael Bennett - they aren't going RB.
Troy Williamson isn't a bad receiver either. There's a lot of time between now and draft day! What scares me is as a Redskin Mike Williams will actually get called when he pushes off - which he does constantly. |

Gerard Warren...though Warren Moon or Warren Harding would have been acceptable as well
