Joe Jacoby: Hall of Fame semifinalist

The four time Pro-Bowler made the list of 27 semifinalists for the Hall of Fame.

Joe Jacoby deserves to be in the HOF. Both he and Gary Clark.

Hope he gets in. Starter on 4 SB teams at tackle and then guard. It would be well deserved.

Re: Joe Jacoby: Hall of Fame semifinalist

I might be reaching here, but the Hogs made it glorious to be an offensive lineman. They were actually celebrated. To the point where you'd pay less attention to Riggins and hone in on the blocker(s) in front of him paving the way.

Changed the way we watch football games in my opinion.

Good old Joe Jacoby. He was great. A great find by the Skins GM then. We could use a JJ today.

Re: Joe Jacoby: Hall of Fame semifinalist

We've actually had a good legacy of tackles: Joe Jacoby, Jim Lachey, Chris Samuels, Jon Jansen, and Trent Williams.

Lachey is a guy that should get more pub. He was damn near impossible to beat in his prime.

Jacoby was a wall as well as Lachey, they both belong in the HOF. The most impressive thing about Jacoby is that he was a FA and not a 1st round pick like Lachey.

The battles of Jacoby and Lawrence Taylor were awesome to watch. Back before salary cap and game changing rules to protect the QB and promote passing. The game was so much better back then.

Jacoby should get in because he was one of the guys who essentially changed the position. He made LT mean what LT means today.

Lachey was as perfect at his position as you can get. Strange that you don't hear more about him when people talk about the all time greats.
Jacoby was blood and guts all the way. I hope he makes it. He typified the Hogs and "Fought his guts out"!

Re: Joe Jacoby: Hall of Fame semifinalist

I don't think Lachey will ever make it cause he didn't play long enough. If I remember injuries cut his career short. But perhaps the best trade in Skins history was Jay Schreoder for Jim Lachey.
