So Where Were You When The World Didn't End? A Scoff at the Mayan Calendar
Well, it may only be 10:27 EST, but the majority of the world is already experiencing 12/21/12. Nothing has happened nor do I believe it will.
I am sitting on my laptop depressed that Thursday Night football is no more for this season and wondering exactly what the alignment of the solar system will actually bring. Thoughts? |

Any of these predictions are generally so vague as to give enough wiggle room for the apologist afterwards. Let's face it, if the Mayans were such great prognosticators there would still be Mayans (I mean the culture).

Re: So Where Were You When The World Didn't End? A Scoff at the Mayan Calendar
Some historians, fanactics, Mayans or whatever you want to call them think that today was supposed to be the day of the return of Kukulkan. Kukulkan is a Mayan snake diety who is represented through many statues as being a serpant. If you watched the History channel there are some extremists that attribute him to being an alien.
What is interisting is that the serpant is represented in the Bible as being Lucifer or Satan. According to scriptures the world will be tempted and ruled over by the antichrist who will be given his power by Satan AKA "the great serpent". With that being said there might be a possibility that the antichrist is born today. I am not willing to hang my hat on this theory, but I thought that it would be interesting conversation. |

The Mayans also predicted yesterday would be falafel truck day.
I didn't see a falafel truck! Did you see a falafel truck?? Stupid Mayans.

This is considerably less spectacular than I expected.
Thankfully I'll be spending the evening with Nekromantix and a few hundred close friends at the House of Blues in Hollywood to make up for the disappointing non-event. |

Im going on a Tacky Light Tour tonight and rented a bus. Nothing better than celebrating the end of the world with family and friends on a rented bus with dranks watching pretty bright lights.

This should be more a scoff at the idiots that interpreted the Mayans wrong.
