Around the NFL Super Bowl week.
One week away from the greatest championship in all of sports. Who do you got? I'm going with Baltimore in a somewhat boring game.
23-17 Kaepernick throws 2 Ints and one is returned back by Game MVP Ed Reed.

Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl week.
It'll be a fun game for sure. Two great very deserving teams of the Super Bowl (just glad it wasn't New England). If the Ravens contain Kaepernick, they win. Ed Reed needs a ring.
Pro Bowl was a lot better this year than last year, but it was still boring. Do they keep it?

Looks like DC isn't the only place with retarded thoughts from journalists.

It probably not the worst thought ever if they got a bunch of stuff for him but they really don't have someone that can step in now and fill his shoes or even come close. PLUS there is like little to no available QB talent out there right now. So in that sense yes it is a dumb idea. Also keep in mind it is his job to get you to read his paper so in that sense he has done a great job and probably won't be fired.

Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl week.
The Cards should get red facemasks...looks so much better than gray.
Brady and the Pats just had a great year and have probably 2 or 3 more runs left in them. They should just ride it out. This year's QB draft class is certainly not going to provide a future solution for them. I'd gladly trade Cousins for Brady, so we can trade Brady for a ton of 1st-rounders immediately. No way I'd want him on my team. Great QB but I can't stand him personally. We've also never seen him play outside of his current system...so who knows if he can be AS great anywhere else. Look at McNabb outside of Reid's offense. McNabb was never anywhere close to Brady's caliber but the decline was dramatic. It happens. Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl week.
Pats have Ryan Mallet sitting there waiting in the wings. The guy has big time talent and I'm sure he's learned how to be a pro sitting behind Brady. As for Brady, he's just come off another great season and doesn't seem to be slowing down. They need to get Gronk healthy, and maybe add another WR and they'll be in a SB favorite next year.

It's going to be a close game but I give SF the slight edge.

That's not why they haven't won a super bowl since the mid 2000s. The defense has declined over the years and never has been what it was since the 2007 year. This is exactly the same problem Peyton Manning had that many of you fail to see, and now you are seeing it with Brady. Seems he can't "win the big game" now eh? They don't need more offense, they need some defense.

Re: Around the NFL Super Bowl week.
I doubt Goodell answers any tough questions, but here are a few I have:
1)Can you explain why the Redskins/Cowboys contracts (one's they were punished for) were approved by the NFL during the uncapped year? Why were they not rejected at the time? 2) If the NFL is taking safety seriously, why is it that Frank Gore gets fined more for having socks low, as compared to Tom Brady sliding with his feet up in the air? 3) Any chance on the NFL bringing back the QB skills challenge (and other positions) to replace the Pro-Bowl? I think the public and players would enjoy it more. 4)Would you rather face off against a James Harrison sized duck or a 100 duck sized James Harrisons? Quote:
