So....How Are the Baltimore Fans???
Not sure if this belongs upstairs or not, but I was wondering...since a lot of you guys live in or near "Ravens" territory, are they being obnoxious enough for you? These are the things I have heard so far:
1. Joe Flacco is now an "elite" quarterback 2. Watching Ray Lewis win a Super Bowl as his last game was God's gift to all of us NFL fans... 3. One fan said his wife fixed a "Thanksgiving Day" turkey meal to give thanks to the Ravens for winning a Super Bowl. 4. It was destiny - the 49ers had no chance at winning... 5. It was so great for Jacoby Jones to give homage to Ray Lewis by doing his weird dance in the end zone.... I'm sure one day (soon) we will be just as obnoxious, and in a way, I guess I don't blame the Ravens fans for being on cloud nine....at the same time, and maybe it's just a bit of jealous on my part, I'm thinking Ravens fans are going to be pretty hard to deal with next year. I'm glad our two teams don't meet up next season - at least not until the Super Bowl, but I can only imagine how it must be if you live close to the Baltimore area being a fan of a different team.

Re: So....How Are the Baltimore Fans???
Happy for the city of Baltimore but:
1) The fans are beyond smug. No one else had any chance, the refs were against them, the NFL was against them, the haters were against them, and they won anyway. 2) Please, please, please go away Ray. 3) It's going to suck being a Skin's fan around here.

Re: So....How Are the Baltimore Fans???
Well, the guy who sits in the cubical across from me showed up on "purple" Friday with purple hair and ray lewis-style face paint, so I knew I was in trouble.
So far this week hasn't been too bad, but that's mainly because of the fact that a bunch of people took off yesterday and today for the parade. I've pretty much avoided facebook because of all the jackass comments. Basically I'm doing my best to avoid talking about it as much as possible because all it does is piss me off.

I'm lucky because I live in Dallas country and they suck so I really don't have to hear anything.. Denver is popular here to but not as much and most of those fans are bandwagon fans.

Re: So....How Are the Baltimore Fans???
I continue to be baffled by the love for a player who was involved in a double murder. There is no reason Lewis would have paid large settlements to the families if he wasnt involved in some way that he doesnt want to become public knowledge. Further, hes obnoxious enough to talk ad nauseaum about having God's support. I'm beyond tired of him.

If I see Ray I just change the channel because I'm tired of hearing him saying "MY". Not sure is worse hearing him talk about god or him talking about "My Team" .

Their fans are like the players, a bunch of bullies whether they win or lose.

Re: So....How Are the Baltimore Fans???
I've always associated the Ravens with having a "thug" mentality. It's funny how you get impressions of certain teams. Some teams I find easier to root for than others. Teams that I can't stand right now along with the Ravens are the Seahawks, Patriots, The Bucs, and certainly the teams in our division. The Raiders used to be on that list, but I thought we got retribution when the 'skins beat them the next year after that '83 Super Bowl loss. Now, I just find them kind of sad.
